Will stock 9C 2807 like being powered by 72V 40A controller?

Yeah but.. there is a point where you need higher amps to cruise..

Like at 36a, i could only go about 37mph on the flats. 72v ( 83V charged ) should have gone about 46mph. I probably needed about 50-60 amps or more to cruise at the speed that 72v can go.

36a x 82v = 2952w constant on the flats.

Hmm, must vary between setups, I ran 74v nominal and could cruise at WOT in the lower 40 mph range without maxing out my amp limit (30A), Im sure terrain has a large role in this, its pretty flat here, on hills I could maintain high 30's but the amps where maxed out.

Well I'm not sure about top speed, my bike is not that good, so for now I'm more interested in acceleration.
I wouldnt cut the shunt then.

I'll see when HuaTong arrives what I'll exactly do.

I've just programmed stock controller to 30A battery and 75A phase current... and it was disappointing, nowhere near the power when I modded shunt, so this stock controller is definitely out of question.
