Wind and Solar vs Coal, Gasoline, Nuclear

The only ones parroting your BS are the "scientists" (shills) on fossil energy company payrolls. ...
Odd that this discussion started with that report that Exxon predicted the apparent future warming based on the “science” as they understood it !

Oh, they did. But they also went to work fooling people like you.

https://www.newscientist.com/article/2354492-exxon-scientists-in-the-1970s-accurately-predicted-climate-change/

I can dispute just about anything, how much truth is in that is upto the ears it falls on to decipher.

Whens theres a bunch of reporters that twist words and facts to suit narrative its hard for even an educated person to see whats going on with any clarity.

Theres massive corruption no doubt and power hungry laws makers compressing the freedom we once took for granted down around us, health care treatment turning into pill pushers prolonging treatment, restrictive rules on the west for new oil wells implemented by the long arm of blackrock at the same time investing in chinnese oil companies and circumventing the same regulation they put in place through the wef that made wells unprofitable for others making them the money through investment strategy.

Its real sad state of affairs globally the only reason there's any value left in society is people refuse to see or believe theres no way forward with the little optimisim left people grind on slaves to this broken rewardless grave creator of a society thats been created by the greeds of ever more powerful business interest striping the world of what ever it pleases regardless.

Co2 is just one simple part of that total soup and without reading the full ingredients on the tin the flavour of your mixture is anyones guess as to warming or cooling, its posssible to release sulpur and cool one area while the total temp rises as what happened in the 60's which leads us onto adoption of catalytic convertors and a reversal of the additional cooling effects caused by mass amounts of rich burn carburetor cars with no catalytic converter its a suicidal man dream but a few minutes in one of them with a hose pipe and its good night Vienna.

What Exxon knew or said is irrelavent.
My position is based on the real science and much personal rechecking of facts.
That is why i know you cannot answer my question regarding scientific proof of CO2 being the cause of any global warming.
So, keep avoiding the questions and think what you will do when you eventually realise that even if the human race ceased to exist tomorrow…..the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere will keep increasing , and the Planet will continue to benefit from it !

It's just a very good thing that blinkered fools like yourself are not numerous enough to guide policy or future planning. So hopefully we'll act in the interests of everybody, including the folks who would kill us all for their cherished misconceptions.

…OR….
It's just a very BAD thing that blinkered fools like yourself are numerous enough to guide policy or future planning. So UNFORTUNATELY YOU act in the interests of everybody, including the folks who WOULD DESTROY us all for their cherished misconceptions.

There !….fixed it for you :bigthumb:
Why dont you stop flapping you lips spouting insults, and start thinking to answer some of the basic questions ?
EG… Why was the temperature FALLING for 60+ yrs …whilst the CO2 was still INCREASING ?
(On the chart you posted)

Climate scientists in the 60s- Our theory is burning ever more fossil fuel is going to uncontrollably heat up the planet causing widespread problems, but we won't have the evidence for 50 years or so.

Climate scientists in the 70s- it's getting more likely that theory about excess CO² from fossil fuel pollution is right. We still predict we'll see the effects in about 40 years.

Climate scientists in the 80s- our ever increasing ability to use satellites and ice cores is really confirming all the models. And maybe showing it progressing faster than predicted.

99% of climate scientists since then- we're living in the era of man made warming, and the proof is all around us. The only dispute is how bad it will get, and how fast it will happen.

Hillhater- Nah, it'll be fine

Don't think people will change in time. The only thing that moves people is their pocket book. I fear energy prices will advance to fast and people will suffer from the lack of energy. We will move away from gasoline, just hope we will do it in an orderly way.

Sorry to say Hillhater is in the majority, glad he is here if now we would be in a echo chamber. Most do not say anything but you can see they are sticking with ICE. After owning a EV it seems like madness to buy an ICE. Well think it is crazy to have a 5000lb machine to go get an ice cream. Wonder whey more do not have Ebikes/trikes to do store runs. Anyone know how many mile/km to a gallon/liter there bikes get. It would be best to do cost per mile. mph is a ICE thing.

Climate scientists in the 60s-…..ZZZZZZZZZZZZ…….crickets…they were all high on dope !
Climate scientists in the 70’s….. the planet is going to FREEZE!
Climate scientists in the 80’s…..we need a new scare. ..to justify our funding…..thank you Mr Hansen !
“ 99% of climate scientists”…. But You know that is a lie !….
…..the official number from the only survey done, was 97%….
…..and the total number surveyed was 82 ! . ( and they were not all “climate” scientists !)

Hillhater..you are still not respecting real science….!

Can not find the report that explains what is going on in the world if the elevated Co2 is not having having any effect. What is causing this crazy weather. In the USA this year we made history of having tornados in January. Don't remember how many died.

What is causing this?

There , you see,..you have become pre programmed to associate any unexpected event to be caused by an increase in CO2 !
Whilst every credible scientist would agree that the factors affecting the planetary climate and events ( earthquakes, volcanoes, storms, etc etc) are too numerous and cayotic to model or understand.
For instance..
Did you know that the earths molten core is slowing in rotation and is imminently about to reverse direction !
Ditto for the earths magnet field !.

Caught that on the news. The north pole is in Russia somewhere. Last year it seemed that there was a lot of volcanoes blowing there tops but was reassured that the activity is quite normal.
Just watched the news, from where I live we have an out break of tornados east of San Antonio, TX to Alabama. This is unheard of, starting to get worried the end is near.

This is what others are saying about the earth core thing, that was announced by 2 scientists based on their computer modeling...

"Therefore, the geophysical community will be divided about this finding and the topic will remain controversial."
He compared seismologists to doctors "who study the internal organs of patients' bodies using imperfect or limited equipment."

Hillhater- I believe this completely.

Climate scientists worldwide study CO² warming, on the earth surface where it can be directly sampled, and arriving at near total consensus after 60 years of peer verified research.

Hillhater- Nah,they were all high on dope and computer models don't work.

The scientists have been wrong, they have been underestimating the rate of change. Just to many variables, the models are getting better. Just using CO2 as the only gauge of the earth warming or cooling is closed minded. Example: posted about the fish in the ocean, we know it not the CO2 but the actions of man that has caused this. You could put up a graph and show as CO2 rises fish get smaller.

It's a fact that CO2 is a heat trapping gas. Methane is 28 time worse. When we produce more Methane than CO2, we will be talking about that.

“Heat trapping” is a false concept ….CO2 is an “adsorber and re-emitter” of radiation, as are many gases such as Methane and Water vapor ,(H2O) ,..which is a much bigger adsorber, and present in hugely greater quantities than CO2 ( between 1-3% of the total atmosphere , which makes it the third highest concentration behind Nitrogen and Oxgen !)
( remember CO2 is total of 0.04% and Anthropogenic CO2 is 0.0012% )
The “alarmists” (UN IPCC) are already on to Methane which is why 3000+ farms in the Netherlands have been shut down by new laws to reduce Methane emissions from farm animals .!

Don't need to shut down farms, need to feed them sea weed. It really cuts the gas, don't remember how much.

Got to laugh the most grumpiest people I've come across are hungry ones, If they think they can shut the farms down and have no repercussions is beyond logic, i will go to war over my food with who ever stands in my way.

Let me have men about me that are fat;
Sleek-headed men and such as sleep o'nights:
Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look;
He thinks too much: such men are dangerous.

Keep everyone happy and distracted on cheap food and cheap energy, and constant entertainment. It's great until everyone is dying of heart attacks and diabetes, and needs air conditioning life support because it got too hot to go outside, because humans haven't evolved enough yet to self regulate in an abundance environment.

50gms per 15kg ( typical daily consumption for one cow/heffer) ..reduces the methane generated by 90%. (Aledgedly)
……and then there are those pesky insects such as termites that produce far more (10x?) methane than domestic cattle !

Looks like my meter needs some calibration possibly.

Does have the smell of clean coal and clean diesel however. Fun to watch the folks in industries being disrupted to invent ways to look like they care and push the BS hard.

..?? Are you refering to the bullsh1t from those seaweed eating cattle ?
Less methane would certainly require a recalibrated BS meter !
But It wont be much fun when you have to sit is the cold and dark wondering which genius thought you can rely on the weather to provide reliable consistent power for all those electrical devices we have been sold !

Thats just news from a financial biased source that clearly will favour the biggest money maker, OIL.
If the tin hat fits one then surly it fits another.
