Yet another DIY BMS

Hi,

Made some progress this weekend and finished the component placement on the PCB. Even started routing tests on the "Cell Units".
PCB size is 3.15" x 9.85" (80mm X 250mm).
Don't know how much time I'll have in the coming days to continue
I need to give some attention to projects that make money ... go figure... :D

Hi,

Found some time today to continue PCB routing. I managed to get around 80% done.
As it looks now I may have to make the board a bit wider in order to make the discharge traces wider.
So final PCB size will probably be 10cm X 25cm.
I hope to get this finished in the coming week....

I still can't find a source for 17 pin balancer connectors - Any help .... ?

S.B.D

Why not just use two 9pin JST right angle connectors, you get one extra pin that is shared between the connectors. Simple, cheap and readily available...

I love how cheap you are trying to make this design

Hey S.B.D.

Great development thread.
Any updates regarding the status of your PCM/BMS?
Interested to see how it worked out.

Thanks for sharing.

Good job S.B.D.! I've been out of the technical way loop too long! I can follow just enough to keep me interested. Haven't developed a circuit board on 20 years, one forgets SO much! cheers!
