My best Craigslist buy was a $400 "NEXT" mountain bike with an Amped DD rear hub motor kit and an awesome 36v 20ah Lifepo4 battery with charger. I ditched the bike and used the E parts on other builds.

I put the battery on my 24v 250watt Electric Stingray and it uses very little battery discharge on 2 hour rides. With pedalling. Lucky find.

I once bought a full front x5 motor kit with a rack bag, SLAs, motor, controller and some other random stuff for $15.

I haven't done anything with the motor, but I plan to test it out and build a chopper soon (One that I got for $60 on CL too )
