Your Response needed - Ebike Survey! - Win $50!

This is the last chance to get in, I'll be picking a winner tonight! The response has been amazing. I can't tell you guys how much it means to me. Thanks!

took survey. For most Americans the style is an important part of a purchase decision. Lighter weight, easier handling ebikes with pedal assist control that don't look too different than regular bikes will IMO grow ebike market.

Thanks a lot! Your intuition is definitely right in line with mine. Although, I would love to see a resurgence in motorbikes due to ebike culture.

It will probably end up going that way eventually, atleast in city areas. You only need to look to other places like China that already have zillions of ebikes and more motorbike size/weight escooters and e-motos.
As congestion on the roads gets worse and worse more people will turn to bikes, and being that the general population is largely somewhat lazy it stands to reason many would turn to motos vs something they still have to pedal. Battery tech will continue to get better and cheaper and with govt incentives for going green to combat increasing air pollution from fossil fuels I think it's almost inevitable things will go this way :)

I have to say after years of riding powerful ebikes on the edge of roads and somewhat cautiously given retarded local ebike laws it was really nice to "own" the road in confidence when I visited Luke in Santa Cruz last year and he threw me the keys to a zero electric motorcycle for the day. Aside from sitting astride a "motorcycle" and thus having more weight, a moto seating position, foot pegs and indicators to operate it was essentially the same as sitting on a moderately powerful electric bike without pretending to pedal :p

Shortly after I returned home and decided I really should add a road moto to my stable so went out and got my license and bought one. I deliberately bought something light and low powered to ensure I ditch the ICE for an electric conversion in short order :)

Thanks again to everyone who participated in the Ebike survey. I've finally picked the winner, and their email address is...:

l*****cool@aol.com

I have contacted them, and if you know them congratulate them.

Attached to this post are the results of the survey. Hopefully they are as useful as they are entertaining.

For those of you who left personalize messages in the open field, unfortunately I cannot link an individual response to an email address, so I am not able to respond, but I appreciate the response. Thanks again guys!

Now to finish up my 100 page report due in a couple of days

I think you need a little text to make the meaning of 0 - 10 clear in questions example Q. 5 which end is high danger and which is low- I can assume/guess but it shouldn't be open to this in a report. Some of them have nice statistical shapes, but it may be worth some speculation on the shape of some of the others. Some interesting things could be found from specific analysis- what is the spread/shape of non-motorbike licence holders or the motorbike and the ebike dangerous question, same for motorbike licence holders. There's others that can be teased out too, but it's whether you'd have time, but even if not done (or a few done) it can be offered as a possible route for future analysis.

Oh, and hey, thanks for letting us see!
