3.1. Revisit and Amend Previous Scope if necessary.
Emerging Vehicles for Low Speed Transportation The focus of this subcommittee is on personal mobility devices and technology and systems that support them that are not normally subject to the United States Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards or similar regulations. These may be device-propelled, have propulsion assistance, or be propelled by the user. This committee is concerned with the policy, utilization, demographics, and operational characteristics of these devices, and how they may be safely incorporated in the transportation infrastructure.
