From the Joe-bike page, re: frame mounted bread basket:
Aside from the Mundo, no other cargo bike we know of, except for a few esoteric and extremely heavy European bikes, has this feature.

Freight cycles have had this as a standard feature for a century. They were eventually replaced by automobiles, although they remain popular in bike-friendly urban areas.

I've been wondering about that indentation. Round tube would be strongest right? Not to mention perhaps thicker, for a cargo bike. Rear end of that bike sure looks strong.

Nice frame, and clearly there's enough of a market for these that Yuba is going forward with it. I am impressed with Yubas relatively quick response to consumer demands (the Mundo V3 is a much better E-platform than the V1/V2). But I suspect the Boda will remain a pedal-bike for most buyers.

This isn't a knock against the the Boda, but for E-power I believe the Mundo V3/V4 is still much better. Boda is shorter in length, and smaller in other dimensions too. It has an aluminum frame (good for pedal-only, but no welding allowed and too weak when used for a powerful E-bike). There is no disc brake capability on the rear wheel. OK for a flat-land pedal-only, and saves a couple bucks, but...for a heavily-loaded E-Mundo on a steep downhill...the extra $40 for welded steel disc flanges is a pre-requisite. If you decide you would benefit from adding a rear disc brake, should you sell your Boda and buy a Yuba?

The rear top cargo rack sits up high enough over the tire to allow a slide-under sandwich-style battery pack (according to the blurb), but the $2700 E-Boda is likely to use the 500W 36V 10Ah Ezee Geared-hub kit on the Yuba site. http://yubaride.com/yubashop/product.php?id_product=60.

I'm not sure if Yuba will continue to sell the bare Mundo frame (no forks, wheels, etc), but I recall they had been selling it at around $600. Right now, I don't see a bare Mundo frame option on their site (buy a welder?)
