Yuba Mundo with Alfine IGH tensioner question

Okay, so I tried to search for Yuba Mundo + IGH and turned up a couple things but not what I'm really looking for. I've got my Mundo set up right now with 26x3. 0 Surly Knards front and rear and will be building up a new rear wheel around an Alfine 8 IGH, with an eye towards putting a BBS02 mid drive on this bike at some point. Since the tires are so wide I plan on flipping the cog on the Alfine outwards to get the widest possible chainline which I believe will be around the 50mm or so that is more common with 135mm rear end bikes with IGHs. The only tensioner I've found that actually seems like it's designed to be adjustable enough to accommodate this is the Rohloff tensioner, but it's something like $98! The other kicker is, this bike is meant for hauling cargo and absolutely MUST retain the double leg kickstand. Retaining the kickstand is the whole reason I fell down the tensioner rabbit hole to begin with. Apparently unless you either leave a dummy rear derailleur in place or use a tensioner, an IGH installed on the back of a Yuba Mundo means the chain won't clear the kickstand. So, any suggestions on tensioners that will allow this to work? Also, are there any issues with using a tensioner in conjunction with a BBS02 down the road?

I don't see any issues with using an IGH and tensioner with a BBSx unit. I'm working on the same, but with SRAM G8. As long as your chainline is good, you're fine (Again assuming here).

I'm going to use a Singelator and I would imagine it would work for you. It's quite adjustable.

Another bike mechanic buddy suggested the Singleator as well. I may just do the Singleator and hope for the best, but the Rohloff seems to actually be a bit more adjustable and even comes with an extra long bolt for attaching to the dropout in case you need even more adjustability. However, the Singleator is $50 while the XC Rohloff is $85 and so far I can't fine a price for that extra long bolt.

My Singulator works well with the Nexus 3 and the SA C-50 5-speed, no reason it won't work with the Alfine. It is also very useful as a chain guide for bikes with a wonky chainline.

Aren't these the adapters for IGHs?

You're right. These were added since I looked last time.

Interesting that they adopted my rework of their original hubmotor adapter. I worked with them on some TA/dropout adapter designs back in 2011, but they went with a different design that offset the axle which made the brakes slightly misaligned and restricted the tire size a bit. As shown below, I machined off one of the two lobes in their adapter to keep the axle mounted at the original point in the dropouts. They now have only one lobe as well. :D

I see no problem fitting the Alfine chain tensioner with a spacer to match your chainline.

I use this one on 2 of my bikes, they are built to last and the tension is high enough to never experience any chain wobble.

Just out of curiosity: how are you addressing the 14mm dropouts with the IGH?

I'll let you know if there's a hassle but I just bought a pair of "hi hat" 10mm - 14 adapters from a BMX store near me called Hell on Wheels (in Newtown, NSW, Australia). The pair cost me $4.00
