The only mention on the forum is from @Blacksheep Engineering , mentioning that it wasn't released yet. Well, now it is, and I think it actually ticks all the boxes for folks looking at dirtbike use (cc @j bjork ) - except perhaps working on higher voltage.

* max 21s
* Supports QS138v3 70H & 90H, and QS165v2
* 600 bA
* 1200 pA
* rated for 50kW
* VESC

I saw it on YouTube just today; will eagerly await ride reports from ES members.

Cool, I've known of EM&C for a while, didn't know till now they have VESC compatible controllers.
Looks like they have 3 different VESC compatible models:
Controllers

Strange that it seems to use an old vesc firmware (5.03) and another software
All we need is a proper header file to compile and run latest firmware.

I noticed in the description they got
3 Selectable Power Modes: Via 3 position switch
Hopefully their custom files are pulled to the vesc github as would be interesting to see how this is implemented.

As a whole it seems a reasonable price for some impressive specs, I'm not US so only knowledge of electro and Co is youtube but they seem to have a good reputation.

Only hesitation with this controller is the 5.03 firmware and the whole claimed compatibility, warning people not to use it with anything other than a small list of motors. It wouldn't be the first time a company has tried locking down or not complying with vesc licensing. As their shouldnt be any reason a vesc controller couldn't run later firmware or be used on pretty much any motor (Unless theirs a reason I'm missing, other than attempts to lock things down due to warranty worries).

Indeed if it worked with VESC 5 it will work with any later version. I think what happened is that a Chinese company called cyc made a locked out version of VESC 5 with a simple app and then started selling it to various... Ebmx etc... possible that its the same firmware as with the torp which is also locked to 5.3 but there's some evidence they made their own efforts to rip it off...

The firmware got GPLd eventually and we all know its 5.03 that's been neutered.
