Helping a friend with an older TSDZ2 motor with 850C display who wants to switch to OSF. I have the .bin file for flashing the 860C - is there a file to flash the 850C or do we need to buy an 860C?
Thanks,
Pete
In other words, can a person go back and forth with the software if they desire? Just checking before I flash motor/display to OSF.
I have been told the stock is more reliable, that is why I ask.
Just installed this motor and the first ride of 16 miles went great. Turned it on next day and got the display that Voltage = 0. Checked connectors, tried another battery, same thing. Could this be wiring in the controller?
Thanks for your help.
Peter
When turned on after inital ride, display shows zero voltage so a NO GO. Juice coming from battery OK. All connections checked. First ride was very bumpy...could it be wiring in controller?
Pete
The TSDZ2 motors on a couple of our recumbents are connected to the battery via 2 sets of Anderson connectors. There is the wire from the motor, then a 36" extension, then the wire from the cradle.
You can be riding casually and everything shuts down. Turn the battery off and on and it comes...
If I can route my wires under/around my TSDZ2 I can avoid having to use extensions. Here is a picture of the setup. But I am concerned about melting the wires. Is this a valid concern? If so, how can I protect the wires from melting?
Thanks,
Peter
I would like to better understand several aspects of the TSDZ2 OSF Assist Types (based on documentation available):
1. What is the difference between Power Assist and Torque Assist? From the documentation, it looks like Power Assist merely extends the assist to 120rpm instead of stopping at...
Measured voltage - 52.7 on 48V battery. It had just been charged and used about 50wh - 5 miles or so. That was the second battery I tried and the same thing happened with both batteries so I suspect something else. I have examined all the cables for damage and cannot see anything that looks...
All my settings for OSF look good, cannot locate a break in the line from battery to motor. Sometimes 860C goes dark and motor dies. Turn battery off then on and works for a couple miles. Then goes dark. Seems random.
2 questions:
1. Is there a possibility that it could be a controller...
I left a message on the Eco Cycle support line last night and by noon today David Hall returned my call and had all the answers I needed. Good guy, good company.
