Bafang firmware hack

Anyone with coding experience know if it's possible to hack the bafang BBSHD firmware in order to run it at a higher amp then the current 30 amp limit?
I can change it to a higher limit in the programming software but it seems the firmware limits it.

Is it possible to reverse engineer the firmware to change a few digits around..maybe run a hexeditor of some sorts?

I have no idea what I am talking about, just spitballing.
I know people can hack the firmware of routers, iphones, etc so why not a controller?

Great idea, I wonder if anyone has done that yet.

Do you have any tips on or experience doing this? I assume every controller requires a different method of doing this.
