Hub Motor Tearing up wires.

So im pretty sure when i apply torque when on the ground. Its basically wrapping the wires around the axle. The axle is able to be pushed in and out its slot, and im pretty sure its not supposed to do that. Has anyone experienced this and what was your solution?

Looks like it's missing the key that prevents the stator from moving on the axle, and allows torque transfer from the motor to the bike; see red circle below:

If this is a new motor, you should contact them for replacement.

If it's a repair being done on something used, then the key had to be there originally, so whoever disassembled it must have that part.

Im such an idiot. Im the one who's been taking this thing apart and ive more than likely lost that key. ill have to source a new one.
