I have recently found an ML7/Palomino frame locally. Seems a good candidate for a conversion.
Any thoughts?

Also, you may wish to make a list of exactly what your build has to do for you, under what specific conditions.

Knowing that may help you (or help us help you) figure out if this bike will do that for you, and what assist system will help it do that.

The one he has likely has a different paint job.

There are also two versions of that frame/fork.

Thought: Grin 'All Axle' front hub motor :?:

I see them on Craigslist and wonder the same thing. For the longer term, I wonder whether there are parts still available to rebuild the shock, but I haven't tried to research it since there are other bike options/choices, so haven't invested the time.

An artist who rented one of my studio's in Crested Butte did that paint job years ago, never saw the bike built.

I like your thought as I am a fan of the AllAxle but not sure it is the best application for that bike? Really depends on the OP's intended use as a mainly road type bike or for trail use with lots of climbing? If the latter is the case a TSDZ2 and a Hailong battery for around a grand all in would do the trick.

Aye laddie, I suspect that those OEM parts might be as common as hen's teeth.
Then again, perhaps they use standard sized seals, o-rings, etc ...

By the way, someone has already converted one of these to electric: https://youtu.be/d8Qt0hd7C9Y
