E-bike Trailer to Skewer Issue

Hello everyone! I have a customer that is trying to hook up a e-bike trailer to his rear wheel. The trailer uses two axle end nuts that allow the trailer to attach. The customer has a standard 135mm Skewer, and that is the issue. As these axle nuts obviously will not fit on a skewer. I was wondering though if anyone has heard of a conversion tool that would allow the treads on the ends of the skewers in order to attach this trailer? Or a component that could attach on either side of the chain or seat stay? Just figured I would ask, and thank you for your time!

I would think you need to replace the skewer axle. Then go to the old style nut type axle, to get it to work.

The Thule and Burly trailer hitch mounts can be added to skewer axles by just removing the skewer from the axle, and then sliding it back through the mounts. But if these mounts are threaded, they may be so to exclude quick-release wheels because they need the axle's strength.
