Cracker Box for my daughter

As the electric surfbord will not get further, as I can not find a cheap surfboard, I decided to build a small boat for my daughter, using my jetdrive unit. This has been run in a model boat now for a while, and seems to perform nice. I ordered some telemtrie stuff, to check amperes during driving. Hope to get it soon.

Here are some pics of the cracker box so far. It is still design stage. Any input would be appreciated.

The fuse is around 1,8m long and 0,9m wide.

Finally some progress.
Started building the fuselage. Also re-designed the jetdrive. Anybody here who has build wooden boats before? I am not sure if I should use epoxy or polyester to glass the wood.

What a beautiful project! Thanks for posting. A lake boat seems like a good candidate for electric drive.

Maybe not a speedboat that is intended for full-speed operation for a solid hour to pull water skiers, but...if I was fishing, it wouldn't need long range, plus...I imagine the drive unit can be spun slowly for a quiet crawl to avoid disturbing the bass and crappie...

Amazing craftsmanship!

This build reminded me of a tested video I saw a while back.

Impressive work! Should be a really nice lake/river boat.

Did some glassing today and fitted the jet drive

Beautiful work!

You are an impressive craftsman.

This is pretty damned cool!

I just moved into a house on a lake with my own dock. I keep thinking what type of a boat do I want as this lake only allows electric/man/sail powered craft. I've been busy as hell at work and after with another house remodel so I haven't had much spare time for hobbies. Just came upon this from the Ebike side. Really opens up my eyes!

Keep up the good work my friend!

BTW, where did you get the jet drive?

Started working on the deck. This friday the Meranti veneer should arrive. So hopefully coming weekend I can put all veneer :D

Nice! Did you print that drive unit or is it one we can buy? What motor/ESC/Battery are you using?

Hello,

the water jet is this one:

https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/water-jet-propulsion-unit-toto44

I am using a Leopard 5692 600KV Motor and a flycoler ESC.

I installed the steering. As I do not like bowden, I did it "fly by wire"

Amazing project!
Thanks for sharing.
Where is the nice lake in your last video? To me it looks like Austria / Switzerland. (PM if you wan't publish it..)
Are there no legal impacts on such a project?
In our area (Switzerland) i would be afraid that five minutes after the test starts some pesrons wearing blue hats would appear because someone called them......
