Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev!

OK, thanks. I also noticed this problem on Votol EM 100 controllers with a Qs 120 70H. There is a setting to reduce the attenuation of fields but this reduces the speed of the motor. Thank you for your work Vasili.

I am using charge mode quite often and thought that it would be good to have more infos on the screen which show whats going on.
Is there anything planned?

something which look like this:

If you connect the PSU to controller then a pop up message shows "charger detected, switch on to start"
Then if you switch on the PSU the message changes to "charging" and showing % and time it takes to fully charge
And when finished a message like "charge complete, disconnect charger"

That would be helpful for people who are not so familiar with it.

Having the option to set cut off current would be also nice. Now there is max A, min A and delta V which is awesome (tesla charge curve), but i wish there would be a setting for cut off current where it stop charging once the current drop do this value during CV.

x2
like what adaptto showing on screen when charging works good

I think the load information will be very complete when there is the bms

How do I make my 12f nucular go faster? My kelly 7218s smokes it right now but has lower amps ext...

VasiliSk and/or others,

I'm going to try a Nucular controller with a Bafang G510 Ultra motor. To my knowledge, 4000 watts is the most put through a G510 and it did well. Would the 6F be a good match for the G510?

Hi VasiliSk
Do you have any experience running big RC motors with your controllers? Such as Turnigy CA120 outrunner with low inductance values? What pwm frequency can/do your controllers run at?
Please share any working examples or owner threads of such combinations.
Thank you

Cheers
Tyler

Wonder how much Amps they will pull underload on decent weight bike and person

So i decided to open a new market for my controllers :D

Made hallway little ride. okay.. big NO to sensorless, it just sucks on start. HFI magic sounds cool but there is a lot of work to do still other than that. Will take a new bms prototype for testing here:

Put halls and t-sensors, add PWM control for remote, assemble battery..

Hi Vasiliy, is the BMS canbus or bluetooth comms ? The Nucular page mentions programming the controller via bluetooth and smartphone, so I assume there is a bluetooth transceiver in the display already ?

Hi PITMIX

Yes thanks, I see that. But this was a long time ago and the controller's have developed significantly. I was asking about use cases as well demonstrating loaded performance and reliability particularly.

I recognise this is a fantastic design and the guys have created a great product. I just somewhat cautious and need a reliable solution. The outrunners seem the best motor package for my project but that's dependant on a reliable and capable controller driving them.

I will ask the owners thread for any experience also, but I'm hoping VasiliSK has some experience from beta testers who have used this sort of set up for a while etc. It is my best option regardless if I go with an RC motor but I like/need data points to give me confidence.

Cheers

I was saying before that RC motors not recommended due to low inductance, they will not let you to use 80V@max phase due to high current ripple, you may expect only 80% form maximum. About data - there was few users, i dont have any comparable performance information
Ok thank you Vasili for prompt reply.
If I run slightly lower voltage such as 60v nominal will this be better and allow full current or should I limit current rather? I can make power through ROMs with less torque for my application so this is ok otherwise I can hear differently.

Cheers

For the people who are using this controller on the sur-ron, how did you attach the controller to the bike?

Did you fabricate your own brackets?

hi
can two controllers work together(1 master and 1 slave) running same settings on can bus with one throttle ? .
I want to use two on a dual drive scooter.
and when will they be available ?
I did ask on nucular contact, but got no response.

thanks
