Wondering if anyone has any expierence with wired freedom e-bike. 1999.00 plus shipping. Thanks.

Looks like the usual cheap garbage-quality e-bike that's set up to make promises the motor can't deliver, and that nobody would ride if it didn't have a motor.

I know the question is old however figured I would add some experience. I have both the 2024.5 Freedom and Cruiser. They both have been very good bikes so far. I have had them for about a year and have over 1k miles on the one and about 600 miles on the other. Both bikes are big, a bit on the heavy side however they can't be beat for a cruiser. I did a 50 mile ride and still had 54 percent battery left. Now that patricianly ride did not have any big hills, it was 25 miles down mile grade, and 25 miles back up a mild grade. I was however 300 lbs at the time but was taking it easy. When I ride alone by my house, I am usually in PSA 3 and pushing a bit harder, lots of hills etc. I can still get really good range. Never really have to worry about range on either bike, Plenty of power even for someone my size. I can easily go high 30s, 37, 38 and my son who is 150 can easily hit over 42 when he is on it.

Bikes have been reliable; I check spokes and maintain them checking for loose bolts however they have been solid. New 72 volt Wired Bikes must be sick! Anyway, just my 2 cents. I know they are not Specialized or Trek, but I think they are a great buy at that 2k price point, super comfortable. One final note. I had one self-induced issue where i needed a part. Wired covered it under warranty and had the part shipped out the next day. Customer support is top notch which i know is hard to get with these types of bikes. Like I said, I have two and would not hesitate to buy another.

Don't now much but if they don't have the ability to sense when they are getting to hot people will be melting them especially at 72 volts.
