SW900 unlock code?

Hi guys!

Chat GPT gave me a good sniff yesterday:
I had a problem activating the PAS function while building my new bike.

Since the PAS sensor was fine, and so was the controller, I thought that maybe I should set something on the SW900 display to make the PAS function work properly.

So I asked Chat GPT what to do.

He replied to find the submenu (after pressing the up and down buttons at the same time, all the buttons had to be pressed) and - voila! - a 4-digit space appeared for "entering the PAS settings numbers".

I asked Chat GPT: are you sure this is the right one to handle the PAS problem? Because it seems to me that something can be entered here.
He replied: YES! you can set the PAS functions here.

I followed the instructions - I shouldn't have:
After turning the display OFF and then ON, I only see this 4 digit crap, but nothing else... I can't unlock, delete, etc.
The bike is unusable, inoperable. It's like it's locked..

I tried a few things: removing the display from the system, removing the battery, etc. But nothing.

I connected the SW900 to my other bike, but it didn't solve the problem..
Any ideas what to do? Thanks!

There are several versions of the sw900 display, so be sure to choose one that is compatible with your controller when ordering a replacement.

Bro, my display has been locked, so why should I choose a compatible replacement? It worked well.. just has been locked.. I like to unlock, but I dunno how..

If you don't know what code you entered to create the lock, you can't unlock it, so you would need to replace it. (or the controller, depending on where the lock code is stored in your system).

Since none of us know what code you entered, we can't help you unlock it.

Don't laugh, but desperate users have tried to break into locked 4 digit systems by entering all 9999 codes. That's why an Iphone only gives you six tries before it turns on a wait timer, and after that you only get a few more tires before it locks forever,

Nonetheless, some owners have reported cracking into their bike displays, I have to respect their determination since there are an average of 24 button pushes for every attempt, , On the KT displays, they sell a cable where you can copy the settings from another display, including the password, to fix a locked unit,

If you are seeing a prompt for a 4-digit code, it is more likely that the ebike controller has a lock feature, and the display is merely reflecting that. In such cases, there is often no universal master code, and the controller might need a replacement to bypass the lock.

If it were true, it’s sort of messed up to kill the display and controller from listening to AI.
