48v 1500w hub motor customization

I have an Akez 1500w (3000w peak) 48v e-bike. I would like to build the motor for more power and torque. I was wondering if things like changing the phase wire gauges, and rewinding the motor with a different gauge would allow me to get more performance out of the motor. I am also going to fill the coil gaps with electromagnetic ferrofluid and add extra heat dissipation fins to the exterior of the motor for (hopefully) less problems running extra power through a stock motor.
After the motor is built I would like to build an extended battery pack to wire in series with the stock battery to get the maximum amount of current my motor is able to handle after being modified. ( example: separate 12v power bank in series to the 48v stock power bank allowing for 60v battery capability)
I’m starting school for electrical engineering so please, rabbit hole welcome.

That’s a geared motor, so ferrofluid will do nothing. Heat and nylon gears will be your limiting factors for trying to do too much with it. You could go to 52v and get a little bump up in power. You might start overheating at 60v if you’re running continuous.

If you have the time, I recommend looking thru the many threads on the general topic of making a bike more powerful or faster, as they already have the various methods / suggestions / info you're looking for.

If you really only want to make the motor itself capable of more power and are not going to do anything to the system to allow it to provide that power to the motor ;) (replacing the entire battery (a boost pack won't do what you want) and controller/display/etc), then there are numerous threads about modifying motors as well, including a few serious threads about testing hubmotors for heat, power, etc. Perhaps the best one was started by Justin_LE several years ago.
 
Yeah unfortunately no effective cooling methods exist tor this type of motor except for ATF fill, which will be continually leaky, and that's not for everyone.

The next step up is a honker of a DD hub motor.

Once you upgrade the motor you'll find yourself wanting a stronger battery and stronger controller and then you've got a DIY build on your hands ( welcome to the club!! )
