Have you made your own battery?

Here’s the scoop. I want to know if I can make a battery with blue tooth communication and connect it to my current ebike. I don’t understand how the communication works between the battery, bms and the controller display.
I want to learn so I’m not dependent on someone else for a battery. I’m pretty capable, just need some insight.
PEDEGO Element version one. 48v 10ah battery.

Why not do it my self. I have a spot welder. I have a battery cell capacity tester discharger. Soldering iron, and general tools. I figure if I make my own pack, change power connection or use the one from current battery, I should be good to go.

Your current bike being the Pedego? If it has controller-to-battery communications, you probably shouldn't even try, Have you inspected the battery connectors for data lines?

There are no data lines. Just positive and negative. I don’t see anything that indicates communication. I feel like it all starts at the controller. I could be wrong. The battery literally only has a positive terminal and a negative terminal. The controller connects to battery only with the positive and negative terminal.
