Maybe they changed crate sizes in the last year but mine was definately less than 48" tall. It'll fit!

Thanks, I was guessing from the pictures it's only about 40".

It maybe about 40" tall instead of 48", I didn't run a tape on the height because my door frame was almost 7" tall or about 84" and I knew it would fit height wise. But for sure 78" long by 28" wide are accurate.

got my rim

now just got to build it up

im thinking about investing in another motor so i can swap the wheels around, street tyres on the stock wheels and trials for the moto x rim.... although i dont ride on the street...

also investigating tubeless, although this may be an issue, there is a setup for wider rims but not the 1.4

cant wait to be able to run 15 psi in the rear though, will be great on the trails i ride

and for those interested its a 19x1.4 36h prowheel

i ordered it online, i dont know from where or how much

but i got the manufacturers part number and googled it, then clicked buy on one of the places that had reasonable postage to AUS

how long are the spokes i need again????????

if using 10-8G spokes, you should be looking at about 127mm long. This will bring the tip of your spoke right up to the top of the spoke nipple in the rim and shouldn't require much griniding. I based this on my initial 19" prowheel rim laced up to my hub. I had the spoke cutter cut 133mm spokes and ended with exactly 5mm sticking up past the nipple in the rim. Had to cut them down with a dremmel. Pain in the ass, but at least I didn't have to waste the spokes unlike if they were too short. Are you lacing the rim yourself or having a local shop do it?

Thanks

I'm having a pro build it, I have a Shinko sr241 on the way and I'm going to just use a tube for now, and see how that works, then if no good ill track down a tubeless set up at a later date, but may need a wider rim...

At long last. The battery was shipped separately, and won't be here till around 12/3. That's ok though, that will give me time to change the tires, and install the headlight and stuff. I haven't even had time to look in the crate yet.

Theodore, does that say Bomber #412? Mine arrived in June and is #294 so they've sold over a hundred in a short span of time. Changed the crating as well. Used to be 1/4" plywood on the sides. Maybe too many mishaps during transport. Post a pic of it when you get the chance!

Theodor, Way different crate than mine. #412, yah! Hard to belive I ordered mine 20 months ago and it was 143. Good times on the way.

Batman, I think you will be very happy with your MC wheel. Say good by to flats.

Watch your back, My crate was stamped with "100Kg" Sticker so it is heavy. You can always bring your screwdriver with you and only load the bike to the van.

Mafia, I think Formula brakes can flip upside down if you need to move the levers to another side, right?
With Hopes, instead of flipping the levers you need to flip the hydraulic hoses, and then do a re bleed, righ?
i dont understand to good sorry about my english but i think they are the same shit hope have two caps for bleeding so they are the same in both sides so you will put the front short hose of whatever left or right you want and i think the formula are just the same no need to rebleed unless you cut the hose if they are to long i bleed my hope because i change the hose for brained to black and i shorter them i make the perfect fit loool was a easy process with formula i cant tell cause they are on the box until this weekend cause i dont even have time to look at them loool

I'll tell the truth, I didn't even notice that 412 on the crate till you guys mentioned it. That's probably right. You might remember a couple pages back I said by my unscientific calculation I thought my bike would be around 400. I mentioned that I thought sales must have doubled in the last 12 months.

My bike was delayed a couple weeks, and I still don't have the battery. My theory is sales are booming, and the factory is straining at the seems to meet demand. I think that's good news for us all.

Rick

went to a wheel builder today

the guy knows what he is doing, he said he can even make up wheels from blank rims, putting the dimples in and drilling the spoke holes and custom making the spokes

ive decided to get another rim and put another shinko on the front too

i will be going black rims black spokes and black nipples.... not cheap, but it will be done, and then i will have a spare wheel set that i can bolt on whenever i want to

From the day ordered my bike, to the day it arrived was 57 days total. That's not that long all things considered, but it seemed like forever lol.

Hi guys!
I'm the Owner of Bomber #200- had it for a couple of months now, bought it of an australian guy that barely used it so its in really nice shape until today when the regen meter on the dashboard started going nuts, from 3% to 999.99% in just a couple of seconds- the bike of course stopped working and all i hear is a clippclopping sound from the backtire/engine. It pulls and stopps with no power to take it forward...
The regenbutton hade come off without me noticing but it doesent seem damaged although i thought that the button was shorted, sending signal to the wheel so i cut the cable just after the button but with no result.. I also pulled out battery and unplugged/plugged/cleaned connectors to battery but also with no result- the batterypack was intact and didnt seem to Ever even hace been pulled out..
Anyone had any problem like this?
Thankfull for all help..
R1.

Cheers for suggestion, Have just ordered the Quigley Fenders and kickstand as well. Kickstand is big $$$$ but if its good quality won't mind so much. Would be great if there was a centre stand option like on my A2B good for use on uneven surfaces.

Just hunting for a rear rack now...

Just for the sake of conversation, my battery is in transit from China. Is this normal? I know there's special laws about the shipping of batteries. I'm under the impression that in the past the battery shipped from the Stealth factory with the bike.

Yep I'm saving up for both.... fenders are a must. I know what you mean regarding the A2B stand.

Any of the European Bomber owners that has found a hitch rack locally, or have found any retailers that ships to Europe for a reasonable price?

Have received email from Quigley regarding which style of swing arm I have to ensure they send correct brackets to suit. So give A+ for customer service.

Regarding centre stand Quigley mentioned crankarm interference, ground clearance, accidental deployment as some issues with having such a stand. Reckon it would be a winner if these issues could be resolved.

Learnt what a decent stack means last night.

After getting the all clear now for not needing surgery on my back I have started using the bike again much more. But last night my judgement was impaired by half a bottle of Small Batch :) Oops

Decided to walk my mate home and ride the bike back but on the walk did the silly throttle bump and drop the bike on its right side which somehow compressed the throttle so that the spring wouldn't return it to zero point. But still twist able with medium force. Other than that little issue all good.

Then the ride home and a small amount of gentle rain had fallen so road was just wet and the throttle didn't fully return to zero as I entered a round a bout so in an instant I must have locked up the front wheel and the rest is obvious I guess. Am lucky only minor abrasions to every limb though...

Anyhow just thought I'd write this for anyone inexperienced who has something like this happen to the throttle. Don't expect the bike to behave properly.

Will need to fix the crank as it doesn't clear the swing arm and the throttle obviously but overall I was extremely lucky I'm thinking.

Ride safe guys! Should have had protection on like the old ads say ;)

I'm paying attention to your warning. Although I have vast experience riding, I've never ridden electric bikes before, Direct drive with no clutch, and a lot of power is something to ponder.

They should be sold out by next week  .

Quasi Modo, crashing sucks, glad you are okay.

Been thinking that I probably won't be able to go long without a Bomber and won't be able to resist getting another at the first opportunity though that could be months away...it's probably more an opportune time to update.

Yah, guess selling would give you as good of excuse as any for a newer updated Bomber. :D

Somtimes the battery ships from Stealth with the bike and sometimes its faster for Stealth to ship the bike to the customer and send the battery directly from the factory directly to the customer. That way, Stealth isn't waiting for the battery to arrive before they can prepare and ship. It doesn't take the battery any longer to ship from China to Australian then to the US.

Hello all...

I m currently travelling around South America and found a stealth fighter for sale in Santiago de Chile (a steep 10,000 USD for a somewhat used demonstration bike that bumped hard a few times aldready).

http://articulo.mercadolibre.cl/MLC-413877898-mountain-bike-electrica-stealth-fighter-_JM

I asked the "official resaler" to do some gears modifications, since i plan to use the bike in the Andes on steep rough terrain. One of them is add some gears and a derailer. Do you guys know how many gears can enter in the left space between the motor and the frame? Which derailer would be best suited? Sequential selector or traditional one? Which chain would suit best? Do I loose the warranty after modifications made by the resaler?

Should be able to fit a 5-7 speed cog cluster on that without too much drama. The problem with running older cog sests is finding the compatabile deraliuer and shifters for them.

Wow $10,000 for a slightly used Fighter. That's steep. Why not just order one online for the normal retale

Yesterday I removed the top off the crate to get a look inside at my bike. That crate Is built like a brick siht house. Forget about prying the top off with a flat bar, you have to unscrew about a dozen wood screws.
