Well, there is a positive benefit-- much safer and pleasant riding for me, not being pushed around and challenged by the normally incessant abusive semi truck traffic (container shuttling) in that area.

IIRC the Bionx can be set to 0 assist and max regen so you end up pedaling against a high regen load. Never measured the actual wattage generated.
