I have never used a BPM so I can't say but I personally don't need more torque, ymmv. You can either have freewheel or regenerative brakes. I don't really care about freewheel and wanted regenerative brakes to save on brake pads. That and I don't want to worry about clutches and gears...

Full modulation by hand is what this will do. You pull the brake lever to engage regen. You then turn on the throttle to turn up the regen intensity. Or if you have your throttle mapped thru a CA3 the first portion of the throttle, which normally does nothing, will allow regen modulation.
