Some custom work going on in the "Matt-Cave" :~)

Luke, It's the first few feet that kill me - lots of cavitation at lower speed (even with a constant speed prop), but once it gets going... A quick pull on the stick will get 1000ft  vertical, more on a cool day (especially at sea level) My money says that Matt's first few...

Shumaker Drive Unit - Yuba Mundo

KAI, The bike is not really setup for a good ratio to pedal the bike at any speed above a few mph. The 3210 likes the 34t and I like (to pedal) the 14t. It's nice to change gears when under electric power - really smooth... Mark

    So, who's hiding a project?

The eMundo http://tiny.cc/eMundo will be morphing from the Astro 3210/Phoenix HV-110 to a 3220 (6 wire)/Phoenix Ice HV 160. 8) The 3210 combo will be installed on this Surly Big Dummy. It may take some time, as school, work, and aileron construction are also on my plate. Great forum...

Some custom work going on in the "Matt-Cave" :~)

My Pitts will do 0 - 140mph in 1/4 mile, but I'm sure you would definitely  have me in the first hundred yards or so. My fun begins after that 1/4 mile...! 8) I think with initial weight transfer RWD would be plenty, as the fronts would be fairly light - but cornering will be a...

Shumaker Drive Unit - Yuba Mundo

etard - Yeppers, I'm running a HV-110 - and I love it. :D Decent acceleration for the voltage I'm currently running (33.3v). It will be a bit more impressive after I install (haven't ordered yet) some hobbycity.com batteries that will take me up to 44.4v (50.4v). As far as performance...

Shumaker Drive Unit - Yuba Mundo

Mitch, Negative on the clamps - they are Matt's. They work excellent. Zero rotation, and of course a perfect match for the drive unit. Mark

Shumaker Drive Unit - Yuba Mundo

Matt, Excellent job as always! When I receive the new batteries from Hobby King I will up the voltage to 44.4v. Still many small things to play with, at least until the 3220 show up at my door! No studded tires yet, so I had to park it today. Currently -9C outside (16F) with winds up to...
