    Best headlight for about $100?

Some good ideas here, I'm in the market for a decent light as well. One site I have found is Dealextreme.com, check it out. They have a lot of bright new generation LED's available in flashlights, bike lights, parts to build your own, reflectors, lenses, batteries etc. They also have mounts for...

does or did WE have a bad rep and why

I have a new BL36. I'm personallty quite happy with it but I also knew very well what to expect with the kit from reading here so my expectations were low. I understood that there was a very good chance of broken spokes, bent rim, maybe a bad charger. I was ok with that as I planned to replace...

How did i burnt my bafang motor from overvolting?

That one just looks like a Wilderness Energy brushless kit to me without the batteries. Perhaps the motors are nine continients but I dont think they are. Mine is badged with Aotema and looks identical. AmpedBikes and ebikes.ca sell the nine continents.

    Bosch 36V fatpacks opened up

I think I read somewhere that these cells in the bosch packs were actually only 1.1Ah, so that makes the packs actually 36v 2.2Ah. I came across some information that suggested packs produced a while ago were 2.4Ah, making each cell 1.2Ah. But the current ones are 1.1Ah Konions. I think I'll be...

    SLA chargers - sparks =(

You're in luck. You should be easily able to find one of those fuses in either Radioshack (hmmm, maybe? Radioshack is pretty disappointing) or otherwise a better electrical store or even possibly an auto store, but they generally dont do 120-240v fuses. Home Depot might even have them You can...

30% "Buy it Now" Discount on Ebay (lifepo4 / tool battery)

Type "cheap wii" it's worked every time for me. However, today it isn't working so either microsoft has pulled the promotion, the cashback amount is zero at the moment or they are having a glitch. It could be over. I'll watch it over the next few days and see if it pops up again. It has been...

WHAT I NEED TO MAKE MY PACKAGE OF BATTERIES?

Close. FWIW I'm glad to see you at least tried to work it out for yourself. There is lots of information on this site on how to build this sort of stuff if you are prepared to use the search button, read and learn. There is also a lot of information on RC forums too, a google search will...

HornetB's new eride. BL36 powered Felt cruiser

Well, it might finally be time to post some pics and notes about my new ride. It's been a long wait to get something I can electrically ride on but at least in the short term this ride is fun enough for the moment and has got me excited with whats possible. For my build I really wanted to keep...

Help finding a solution to Bafang gear stripping

LOL!! Marmite! I bet that goes great with warm beer  Nah, kidding, jokes aside I do love a nice hand pumped cask ale and I dont mind a true bitter served at the correct temp. Ok, enough off topic banter before I get in trouble.

Help finding a solution to Bafang gear stripping

You'd be correct John. Made from yeast extact, a by-product of beer brewing. I have a jar myself that I brought with me over to the US, an Aussie bloke can't leave Australia without a jar of Vegimite. I have to ration it out for special occasions like AFL grand final day (go them Hawks!!! :D...

Help finding a solution to Bafang gear stripping

Sorry to hear of your motor problems Voicecoils. Man, that sucks. I've been watching your build with great excitement too. It's no consolation to you but FWIW you are making me feel a whole lot better for holding back on buying one of these motors now. Several weeks ago I was just about ready...

Has anyone tried ebikes.ca's Nine Continent hub motor?

They are available for sure. As I said, Ampedbikes has the rear (not in stock) and ebikes suggests they will get rear eventually. I'd love to see disc brakes as well. A lot of bikes nowdays just dont have v brakes as an option. HB

Has anyone tried ebikes.ca's Nine Continent hub motor?

Photos are up on the Nine Continents kit on ebikes.ca. They look like a nice motor anyway and they sound good, especially with the CA included. Nine Continents @ ebikes.ca Looking closely at that picture one would definitely suspect that the AmpedBikes motors and the Nine Continents sold by...
