Can't you find and buy a (second hand) handbike in your area? If you are using a wheelchair you can get a hand bike that attaches to the frame of your wheelchair.

Great build but not sure that the S-A gear hub is going to survive. Why haven't you bolted the 6kW motor directly to the rear axle and used the gears only for the pedals?

Interesting project idea. Out of my league so no advice from me. But I hope you'll make this into a build thread we can follow. I do think just buying a Stark Varg will turn out to be cheaper and better in most ways except for the joy of building it yourself.

Mill or drill holes in the rotor surface and dremel the edges of the holes at an angle so they "scoop" the air out when rotating.

With a wheelchair and handbike you need a second rear axle or mounting points to place the wheels backwards. That way the center of gravity moves towards the front wheel for more traction. See my posts about this in this other handbike thread: Handbike thread on E-S

Agree with Chalo. The 32xx series motors are not to be combined with the p42 reduction (see chart). The P62 is suitable for the 32 series motors and might have a chance to survive in an ebike application. But is longer and heavier.

The answer is: Stark Varg :mrgreen: Bit of an odd idea: use a 25-50kW scooter racing hub motor as a mid drive:50kW motor Done sometimes in DIY ebike frames. Build a steel swing arm with that motor in/on it just in front of the rear tire. Put the pivot point to the frame just behind the hub...
