All forms of Uranium are radioactive. That black smoke is from propellants and ammunition cookoff.
Also, observe that the title doesn't say if the radiation level was dangerous or not
there's a reason for that.
You don't think they'd be using scare tactics and be overly dramatic or anything like that, do you?
