    Custom cylindrical battery configurator

Added few features: - Precise cell size (if you need spacing - just include it in cell size); - Added box inner padding; - Increased canvas size to 600x450 mm; - Added S and P options: > If P is set - only the required amount of cells will be filled; > If P is not set - cells would fill...

    Custom cylindrical battery configurator

Hello everyone. We've created a tool that can help designing a 18650 or similar battery. In case anyone else finds it useful - it's freely available here: http://e4bike.ru/page/battery-shape-configurator The picture can be saved in .png file with a right click. This is work-in-progress...

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

As I know they does not match with Infineon from Lyen but does match with Infineon from Cellman.

The 2 of 4T we've opened all had 16 strands. We haven't got any of the 3T so can't count the strands now.

    46 magnets or 23 poles.

The motor is off centered a little to allow 6 speed freewheel installation. Please see the lacing made by MXUS. The spokes move the rim to the freewheel side a bit to make it centered.

180C max. In fact 150C is enough. 150-180C is damn quick.

Wow! Hope you will monitor the motor temperature. :)

As I said this controller doesn't limit the phase current. At least I can't see it. When infineon (xie chang) controller is programmed to limit the phase current you can see the power increasing on acceleration. I've noticed, at least with 40A battery current, that no phase current is limited...

The controller does not limit the phase current. As I see on the wattmeter it takes full power from the battery from the start.

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

Managed to do some riding today. Used the road for motor testing. It has 2 artificial humps where I need to slow down to 30kmh and enough space to accelerate to 60-65kmh, then again slowing down. So the ride looks like: acc to 60-65 - brake to 30 - acc to 60-65 - brake to 30 - acc to 60-65 -...

Roads are covered with some slippery substance, that was applied to fight with ice . Rain is expected this weekend but next week should be good. The new controller and this motor are waiting for tests.

I've never seen other than 0.5mm (0.2mm2) wires in popular hub motors. Quanshun motors (original Cromotor), all MXUS motors, Conhismotor they all have same 0.5mm wires. I'll take the photo when opening the motor next time. Such wire allows better copper fill and avoid skin effect. Long time ago...

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

They use 0.5mm diameter wire for windings. It equals 0.2mm2 square. So having 4Tx16 we have 16*0.2=3.2mm2 square for windings. This is similar to 12AWG not 8-9. 13AWG for 4T motor is enough, our several rides feeding 250A phase current and 11kW total into 4Tx15 v1 motor in summer 30+C...

Sorry, I thought you asked about Curie temperature of magnets. It is 120C. For the wires it is 150C working.
  18. E

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

The Curie temperature is 120C as I know.

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

What will you do with the 3Tx21 motor with 13G phase wires? 4T is the lowest possible turn count for 13G phase wires, that is my opinion.

Adaptto controller supports sensorless mode but it is like emergency mode to get back slowly in case of halls failure. It is not intended for regular use. By the way, why do you think you are getting a motor with no halls?

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

    It is true. 4x16.

    MXUS 3000 Hub Motor - V1 V2 V3

Since the lamination are the same width as original v2-v3 Cromotor such RPM should be similar. I can try to measure such loses if you can give me some instructions just to be sure the results corresponds.

Outside is the same as v1. What else would you like to see? :)

Yes, v2 prototype received. But the winter came in October in Moscow this year. It is rather cold driving 70-75kmh for a long time now so we can't make such test. So the hill test is all we managed to do. I hope it will be a bit warmer this week. I noticed a much better cooling. That is what we...
