    Yes If I understand correctly, If I don't cut that resistor and main AC goes out, the charger will drain the battery because of that resistor? Where would that resistor be on this particular power supply?

    We are trying to move away from SLA. We keep changing them every 2-3 years because they lost most of their capacity. We also tried deep cycle marine battery but we had to refill them with water constantly and they still failed after 3 years.

    Here's mine. Still work in progress, 14s12p, at 12p most of them gives around 20ah when discharged to 3.0v. Batteries are from 4 years old Toshiba laptops. Those are panasonic cells, I also have a bunch of sanyo.

    1968 100v power supply

    Just found this super heavy power supply, looks like it's variable to 100v, 6A. It's from a school that was built in the 60s, date says 1968. Would you trust it to charge your batteries ? :mrgreen:
