    MXUS 3000 V2 hall stuck at 5v?

So that would require removing the side cover of the motor? I've never done that before.. is it a simple process? doesn't it ruin the seal on the side?

    MXUS 3000 V2 hall stuck at 5v?

Few details about the bike: -MXUS 3000W V2 -LYEN 18 fet controller -20S 11aH 18650 pack Okay so I went to repair my bike after my accident last year where the wheel fell out the dropouts... After I put everything together and tested the throttle the wheel stuttered a few centimeters then froze...

    Motor Stuttering

Sorry amberwolf forgot to reply to your post. Logically I'm thinking it can't be a FET issue otherwise it wouldn't have started working again the first time round? and it definitely can't be a LVC because I've LVC on the controller before and it takes at least a second for it to kick in again...

    Motor Stuttering

I tried googling about pull-up resistors but looks way out of my league.. i don't have much knowledge in electronics at all. I've shot a quick video on youtube to outline my setup and see if you can spot any obvious area's which might need a look into. My largest suspect for the possible cause...

    Motor Stuttering

I can't find the damn problem and it's starting to annoy me now! I don't have any spare parts that I can just swap out to try and find the problem.. I believe it could be the hall wires inside the motor potentially shorted together somehow.. I might crack open the motor tonight and take a look...

    Motor Stuttering

To give you all a quick update, i've been super busy but managed to do a bit more testing today. I measured the continuity from basically just outside the motor to the point where the phase wires are soldered in the controller (didn't feel like opening up the hub motor) and everything was fine...

    Motor Stuttering

Okay so to give you an update... I did a lot more diagnosing today yet I still cant find the problem.. I've tested all the halls and they're all giving correct voltages when I spin the wheel round by hand, so not that.. I then decided to swap some of the halls around and see if that got rid of...

    Motor Stuttering

I'll test to see if all the halls are working tomorrow with a multimeter, thanks for the link Ykick. I'll triple check the connections tomorrow but unless its something I cant obviously see then i'm sure its not  Would a wrong hall combo result in the stuttering? maybe there's a 1% chance...

    Motor Stuttering

I know there's been many posts on this before in the past and I've tried searching up on them yet mines slightly different in that it was working before I took the bike apart. So I recently made a battery box and installed a new rear brake so my electric bike came to bits. Once I've put it all...

    GPS trackers?

I've been looking into this for a while as well but there doesn't seem to be any solution at a reasonable price! All these GPS trackers specialized for bike are ridiculous prices.. I just want a small GPS tracker that has realtime and accurate tracking for a cheap price. If anyone finds any...

Plugging in Mean Well power supplies and it trips the house!

Plugging in Mean Well power supplies and it trips the house!

I just purchased some Mean Well power supplies from ebay to charge my new 72v 14aH pack for my latest build but I've hooked 3 up in series to get 72v and whenever I plug it into the mains it trips the whole house instantly. I was under the impression that I could plug these directly into my...

    First build commuter bike advice/opinions

That's quite a demanding system you're asking for there, you may need a bigger battery than 20Ah if you're wanting to go 48km in an hour and potentially pulling a trailer up to 75kg, you will need quite a powerful motor which will eat up your battery, I'd recommend at least a 30Ah battery. Put...

    First E-Bike build! ADVICE NEEDED!

Forgot to include this in original post so will add it now.. Desired max speed on level ground. 30 mph Desired max range at what cruising speed. 20 miles at 20 mph Preferred bike wheel size, or wheel size of bike you want to convert. My current bike has 26" wheels so it has to be that size...

    First E-Bike build! ADVICE NEEDED!

Just gone out and checked it only has 32H so I will have to buy a new rim, I've just measured the clearance on my bike and it looks like i'll only be able to go for a 30mm width tyre before it touches the metal either side so I will go for a 25mm rim .. My bike only has front suspension so I...

    First E-Bike build! ADVICE NEEDED!

So what the difference with using a slightly thicker tyre then? and i've found a cheap deal for a MXUS 3000W motor and I know their are quite a lot of threads on this forum about it so it must be a highly rated motor, I can get it for around £300 with a controller, thoughts on it...

    First E-Bike build! ADVICE NEEDED!

I've just gone out and checked and the rim I already have on the bike is a double wall rim and the tyre is a 55-559 tyre, aren't these already suitable for an e-bike?

    First E-Bike build! ADVICE NEEDED!

Okay thanks fellow I will go for the Panasonic cells! and okay i'm guessing i should increase my rim width since 2 of you have now suggested it.. how can I make sure that a 25mm thick rim will fit on my bike? and wesnewell I was just going off the specifications that crystalyte give on their...

    First E-Bike build! ADVICE NEEDED!

fellow Will the panasonic cells be rated for the same amount of cycles though? and I was going to somehow find a spot welder and make the bank that way rather than soldering so the tabs aren't necessary. I have no idea whether a thicker rim would fit on my bike though, i'm a bit of an idiot...

    First E-Bike build! ADVICE NEEDED!

So i've finally decided to go for it and convert my old bike into a powerful electric bike! My old bike is the Carrera Kraken 2014 edition which I thought would be suitable to put quite a powerful motor on.. My main goals for this project are: - keep it looking like a normal bike as much as...
