    Disc brake sprocket combo #35

Thanks Ron! Yeah, I had thought about that. I am having second thoughts about that exact setup, but am considering similar options.

    Disc brake sprocket combo #35

I found a disc brake and sprocket combo for a #35 chain . I dream about this for more standard chains but am considering trying this on my next build for a left side mid drive im working on...

Denzel 72v 4-spd Gearbox Build 125cc Dual Sport

I am thinking of taking a gamble, and ordering this and seeing if I can make it fit into my 1979 motobecane v50.... if not, I'll order a motoped frame kit, as I know that will fit.

    Alexplatts18's troubleshooting thread

If you want a hub motor, Mxus 5k turbo is a good option. some guys run the 3k turbo version with the adappto max E controller at up to 14kw peak. the 5k is rated at 5k continuous.

    possible LTO super charger?

yeah, I had no intention of charging them from the grid at more than 2-5kw... and If I decide to implement this, I was thinking that I would go no more than 3-4C in a DC to DC system., grid charge the charging batteries while I am out, and then use them to speed charge the velo pack when I need to.

    possible LTO super charger?

Yeah, I don't have my own house... I have 30A useable here. the most you can get here in my area, even when you own a house is 100A service. I plan on buying one soon, and I will get the upgrade in service when I do!

    possible LTO super charger?

yeah I considered that. but, LTO, particularly yinlong 40ah cells can handle 400a constant both charge and discharge. that is an insane 24KW at 60v. sure, they are heavier and lower voltage, but for my application that does not matter. what matters is that they can be charged in extreme cold...

    possible LTO super charger?

I am glad you brought that up, I was under the impression that I could get 10,000 cycles at 2.8v.. I noticed that some LTO cells have a 2.3v nominal charge, some 2.4. the 2.3v nominal says 2.7v max and the other ones say 2.8. the yinlong cells, in particular, say 2.4v nominal, 2.8 max, and...

    possible LTO super charger?

Yes. The cold weather here in Wisconsin and the high c rate combined with decades of use is why I want lto :) thanks! I'll pay the weight penalty and low power density penalty for that. Planning a heavy ebike human bio hybrid velo thing for year round commuting :)last winter was too cold on my...

    possible LTO super charger?

I was thinking that.. for some reason I didnt think it was that simple. I thought I had to be wrong. Thanks!

    possible LTO super charger?

yeah, I saw that a while back. pretty rad, but I am nowhere near learned enough to go that route, yet. I am going to stick with what I know for now, and accept that I can charge my pack in under an hour, and learn a lot more before I try anything like that.

    possible LTO super charger?

if I am being realistic, I was already thinking about paralleling some power supplies to get to about 5kw, and then being able to charge the pack in just over a half hour. that is still insane. thank you for the feedback though.

    possible LTO super charger?

of course, I dont need to do this, It was just fun to think about it being possible. I was happy to stick with a saner 2kw charger or so, and still charge in a reasonable amount of time.

    possible LTO super charger?

    er, 12.5k watts at 5c.

    possible LTO super charger?

I was thinking more specifically of an off the grid set up, battery to battery. I was thinking about something that gets full use of the high C rate of discharge and charge for LTO. so, I was thinking a pack made of 25S LTO yinlong 40ah cells to be charged, 60V nominal.. they are capable of a...

    possible LTO super charger?

I thought obsessively today about LTO batteries, and I Was frustrated with the fact that they are able to be charged at such a high C rate, but that house service here in the states, even 240 services, can not reach the full potential of LTO quick charging. I Was racking my brain for ways to...

    Anyone use a capacitor BMS?

I found several BMS boards for LiFEpo4 cells that instead of bleeding off cells with higher voltages, transfer voltage from them to lower cells, constantly. I have not been able to find anyone that uses these. It's larger, at just under 8 inches long, an inch or so thick and two inches wide...

Ecotric Fat tire folding bike review.

SO, this past winter, I moved to a not so great neighborhood, and wanted to put my good bikes in storage, and get a cheap, folding ebike to commute on for the winter. I took a gamble and bought the Ecotric fat tire folding bike. I rode it every day and all winter. I have over 2 thousand miles...

Open source velomobile in the making, suspension question (Feedback wanted)

I also considered a mid-drive, so I could use gear reduction, as to not overheat the motor, But this was also why I wanted to use such a big motor and high voltage, because of the weight. I have to crunch some numbers, and use the motor simulator yet.

Open source velomobile in the making, suspension question (Feedback wanted)

yes. heavy, that was another concern. the kits range from 30-60 pounds. I figure the whole build will be 150-200 pounds. I know that is heavy. a company called truck trike makes a 200 pound bicycle that is used by ups. .. This is meant to be an in-between class of vehicle. it is like a low...

Open source velomobile in the making, suspension question (Feedback wanted)

I have been a long time lurker, and almost everything I know about electric bikes, I have learned here. That being said, I am in the planning stage, nearing the start of sourcing components stage of an open source velomobile that I would like to build, then release the plans for under a general...
