    Help Identify Vehicle

Thank you, Dauntless! I may have seen a picture before many years ago. I just thought it was too cleanly done to be a one-off. My son snapped the picture on his way home from getting gas. I didn't see it myself. I would have taken several blurry pictures instead of one good one.

    Help Identify Vehicle

This vehicle was spotted near Cleveland, Ohio on August 2, 2015 by my son. Can anyone help identify it? The naca duct makes me think it might be a scooter engine, but it was really quiet. It is not an Acabion or a Zerotracer and an image trace on Google is useless. I thought it was nicely...

    Random Thought about space travel.

Everything inside the ship would appear normal. If you measured the speed of light in the ship it would be the same as when the ship was at rest before takeoff. When looking outside the ship the rest of the universe would appear to be skewed. At 0.1C the distortion would be minimal. At higher...

    My First eBoat Build

Think out of the box. Mount the motor in a front fork and attach paddles to the spoke flanges. Make it a paddlewheeler. Heck mount two with one on each side.

My Schwinn Protocol 1.0 DS E-Bike

Very Nice! However, I would be concerned with failure of the carbon seatpost. Several frames of this type have had failures in the seatpost clamp area if there is too short a section of the seatpost remaining inside the frame. Street tires will make a major difference in handling.

Rear Basket Fairing (first attempt for aero with coroplast)

You might want to try moving the supports to a point lower on the seatstays or even on the dropouts. The seatstay tubes will flex under load and the longer stance will help with side sway.

    Tron - prone recumbent ebike

I have always thought that the ultimate jaw dropper would be a Velocraft NoCom with an electric assist.

Fredo's New Amped rear geared Specialized FSR !

Nice bike, well done! You might want to keep an eye on the hinge pins on the rack. Mine bent in a similar application and I had to replace them with grade 8 steel bolts and nylock nuts. I have had no more trouble with mine. I only wish i had replaced them before they bent since it would have...

    Metallover's 9c Blackcomb Build

Nice build! You might want to put that battery rack on with u- bolts. Those hose clamps will break at the absolute worst time and mess you up! It looks like you can put two u-bolts more or less where the clamps are. I would use nyloc nuts and put epoxy/ mighty putty between the rack and the...

The real truth of Solar Power?

It is a very biased report. "4) Storage for a Solar option would be enormous, 90 days of storage would be 24,000 km2" Guess what. If the sun stops shining for threee months electricity use will not be a problem. I wonder who paid for this study.

Same three boys keep wrecking neighbourhood.

Engage them. Don't be their enemy. They are kids. Show then your kool bike. Help one or two of them fix their bike. They are ignorant, have no proper parental supervision, and have tons of pre-teen energy. They are bored to insanity. Help them learn to be better people. I have a...

    E-Recumbent Bike

I have had the itch to make a new bike since last fall. I went to a local shop and test rode a Cattrike recumbent tadpole. They are REALLY nice! That is what I would like to motorize but this bike will get rid of the itch for over a thousand dollars less. Delivery is June 3 to 9.

    E-Recumbent Bike

The bike is a near clone of the Sun EZ Rider AX MSRP $1495. There is a rather rambling discussion going on over at the Bentrider Online forum[url][http://www.bentrideronline.com/messageboard/showthread.php?t=49436/url]. The bike design seems to be a little heavy and a little slow. If you are...

    Electric Kayak

I mounted an electric trolling motor on a 16 foot canoe a few years ago. It was really fun. I think it was 20 pounds thrust or so. I estimate the top speed at about 4 miles per hour. The powered range was probably less than 5 miles. That was probably with a gross loaded weight of 500...

Torque Arm stripping a Steel frame?

Beautiful Bike! Maybe you could weld a bit of steel to the derailleur hanger to close it. The torque stress would then be transferred to the bottom of the dropout where it is strongest.

    === Post here your WIFE'S EBIKE===

I built this one this summer as a demonsrator in addition to muy own full suspension mountain bike. A neighborhood lady bought it before I got it finished. She ride it to work and home for lunch every day, weather permitting. On my test and checking rides it was very nice.

Tres Terra Europa - Good buy???

There is a review link at voltage forum and a rider's blog at Kenehora. http://kenehora.blogspot.com/ It shows the bike as 36 volts. I'd say it's worth a look. If it's nice offer $350. There is a lot of information on the forum about Heinzmanns.

How do I remove a stripped nut?

First, understand that the nut is trash. You want to save the Axle. If you have a dremel cut it in the center of two opposite flats use a chisel or screwdriver to break the nut into two pieces or open one side far enough to remove. The split on the opposite side will weaken the nut. OR get...
