"Free to Caster (FTC) leaning reverse trike

I too would love to convert the 300cc tadpole "Scooter depot" trike into a EV. How to buy one without the gas engine and rear swing arm? That is the question? They seem to have a lot of space in the saddle bags etc. to hide the batteries. I'd use a single enertrac hub motor for propulsion...

jonescg's NEW electric racebike BUILD thread!

The Catavolt team is using a dual hub motor with "some" success... I do NOT wish to start a "this motor vs. That motor" debate. But I have had nothing but great customer support when working with the Enertrac organization. Granted I did NOT build a motorcycle for speed purposes. Either way...

jonescg's NEW electric racebike BUILD thread!

Chris, Why don't you consider the Hub motors from Enertrac? The hub motor option opens up the complete frame for batteries, controllers etc. It also eliminates the weight and power loss due to the chain. Regards John

    Suzuki RG250F Gamma conversion

If your wooden tank "Buck" is not damaged you may wish to try a quick fabrication. Wrap the buck in waxed paper, tack it to the base then purchase some "exercise cloth" which is used to make jogging/exercise clothing. This cloth is streatchable in two directions. Streatch this over the wased...

    Motorcycle class Hub Motor

Hello Mark, As if life isn't confusing enough for you. You have James Hammarhead creating beautiful looking "British/electric" motorcycles using your hub motor, and John Head, who restores British motorcycles for a hobby, making a leaning three wheeled trike using your great product. I'm eagerly...

Mark, Looking good, I'm still fabricatiing as fast as my schedule allows. I hope to have a "roll test" in about 3 weeks and of course updated pic's? My offer still holds however If you care to get me a rim, and a dead motor so I can try a different "lacing" pattern. Regards John Head

Yes, Silicon on harness is sure to be part of the "things to do list"! Thanks again for the washers. I have ordered a new axel for the 2nd motor. I need to turn the OD down once it arrives. More things to do.. But as soon as I have the chassis assembled with both motors I'll be sure to send...

    Motorcycle class Hub Motor

Mark, Pikes Peak sounds like some great exposure for you and your motor. I might suggest, roating your torque arm with regards to the exit point of your motor harness however. I repositioned mine so that the harness exits upward and I can run it along the TOP of the swing arm. This MAY.. help to...

Knuckles, Not to worry. I'm in good hands with Mark. Two rear motors mounted on connected rear swing arms. As one goes up, the other goes down. Photos to follow in a month or so.... 96volts LIFO batteries. It will be heavy as I am fabricating the frame from steel but I'm hoping to get a top...

    Motorcycle class Hub Motor

Hello and happy new year Mark, I like the dual rear wheel motor arrangement as well. :-) Now when I get the leaning assembly completed I'll send you some photos. Hopefully in a month or two. It's below freezing in the garage so I am doing some "limited" engineering in the living room (when the...

    Motorcycle class Hub Motor

Mark, Will you be offering the caliper and rotor in the future as a complete "Braking" package "option"? I won't need it as I did get in new rotors for my two motors. I may be doing a slight redesign on the anchoring of my two however. Innovation can be fun and hopefully rewarding? Regards John

Awww... Mark, I was going to offer you halves on my tilting three wheeler design. That way you get to sell TWO of your motor for each trike? I guess I'll just have to take all of the royalties and retire much sooner than I had planned  I hope to be working on the linkage between the two...

Thank You Mark for your update. I will be looking forward to the tutorial as I am 200% more "mecanically" inclined than I am "electrically" inclined! :D You may also wish to include a "Dual motor schematic", once the single motor schematics are available? I am currently designing around a 96V...

    Motorcycle class Hub Motor

Hello Mark, For those of us who would prefer not to reinvent the wheel so to speak, would you be able to list the specific components that you are using in your conversion besides the motor? I would like to know what specific other items that I will need to order. Throttle, controller, switches...

Mark, I've been following your thread and development of this motor for a long time now. I'm a trusting but not foolish person. You will have the deposit (paypal) for MY 603 next week. I'll continue to design my Delta leaning three wheeler and give honest feedback on MY perception of the motor...

Hello again Mark, Can you tell me the major difference between the 602, and 603 motors? I hope to have my pay pal deposit in the mail next week however I would like to have some more specifics on the major differences between the two models that you are offering? Please put me on your mailing...

    Motorcycle class Hub Motor

Mark, One more thing. Might you post a Control Schematic that is "known to work" with this motor? What type of throttle, fuses, relays, BMS, Batteries (96v?), charging system, etc. that you either are going to use on this motor, or you know can be used? I would like to know what other items I...

    Motorcycle class Hub Motor

The new motor Looks Great Mark, Is it a 17, or 18" rim? The spoke pattern looks much better as well! I've just sold one of my motorcycles so I may actually have the cash on hand to purchase one. Let us know the price, and/or deposit on the first shippment? Thanks again for your hard work...

    Motorcycle class Hub Motor

Hi Mark, Just another recommendation. For a NON invasive cooling reduction design you may want to cast in fins off of the center hub? (Radiating out toward the rim) Similar looking to cylinder fins on an internal combustion motor? They do assist in cooling with no fans etc required. Just some...

Hi Mark, Any General update from the Master hub motor man? (YOU) Time frame till they are available? Cost? Sizes, Styles, dimensions, rim availability etc. I hopefully will be in the marked by the fall?? Currently I'm still welding up my leaning Delta trike frame. Regards John Head Western NY.
