    Supernova confirmed that in some cases taillights can be incorrectly wired internally. And the behavior if white and brown cables are inverted is the same I am experiencing. So I will invert them (wire brown to red and white to blue), and it should work.

    I also had a similar problem and suspected the controller. When unmounting the motor I noticed the melted anderson connectors. It seems to be a known issue. In the end I replaced them with XT60 and took the opportunity to do a Innotrace controller upgrade.
