Interesting framework!

probably about as good as most modern sportbikes.

I know it is a concept bike and all, but I wish more electric concept vehicles were as good looking as the ICE counterparts. Good luck getting most people to purchase a weird looking bike.

Well, they know they are appealing to people who tend to stray from tradition. Why else go electric? So they assume that the same people who are interested in an electric bike would also not care if its looks depart from the norm.

It will come with time, theres just so much tradition with where everything goes that when given a blank slate the designers go off the deep end...:D

Indeed, "Good looks" have much to do with...

Yamaha used to make an 1100 sized sport-touring bike with a single fork arm. I test drove one while motorcycle shopping and it rode like a dream. I just remember looking down and seeing 145 MPH on the speedo and going to myself, "No wonder kids get killed on these bikes- I feel like I'm doing 65-70 MPH at the most."

Not 3 seconds after this thought, a Sheriff's car drove past me in the opposite direction and I have to say that I never slowed down to see if he even came after me. I went back to the dealer ASAP!

Call me cynical - but I'm really starting to hate these "concept" designs. "Yes, this skateboard will contain a ten gazillion magawatt generator powered by a micro black-hole"

Hardly any of them are practical and almost always require something that doesn't even exist yet. Sure, I dig it - it's a concept. But how about oncer in a while do a concept that could actually be built today with existing technology.

These futuristic designs are certainly eye-candy, but generally from a practical engineering aspect - they're crap - and would never make it to the factory floor.

Concept vehicles are created to simply "inspire" (test the market) for designers. They are meant to be picked apart and criticized. It's a "hey, would you buy this?" mock-up. Testing evolution.
I look at them as a great way to get some ideas for your own build. Or just to laugh at the weird ones.
The ones I like best are the really innovative creations that actually solve a problem, or get your mind rolling on a "so that's a great way to do that" .http://www.khulsey.com/stockphotography/stk_buick-le-sabre-concept-car.html

In 1947 Bohn Aluminum and Brass in Detroit Mich. USA put out a concept for an encased a "futuristic motorcycle". Bohn never succeeded, but the "casing" of motorcycles and mopeds sure was picked up by Vespa ... http://www.khulsey.com/motorcycles/vintagebike-images/vespa_98_1947.jpeg
