Love it, Red Baron, LOL....

I remember the accident. I thought he was killed. I guess my memory is not that good! lol

Nice to see him back at it. My Hooligan FS MB approaches near 80kph. On such a light platform, it feels fast.
I have a 750lbs Honda VTX1800C. With a long rake angle on the forks and it's wheel base and weight if feels
good even if I burst it to 180kph  On a closed course ........ of course! lol

But a short wheel base and low rake on the front, I'm so surprised that he doesn't speed wobble.

I love the sound when he pass the radar sensors 8)

just like a jet!

The bike look good.. could be an ebike look too!

damn, not bad at 52 years of age.

how he did it was kind weak though.
this suppose to be a "serial bike downhill record"
like for production bikes.
but his bike is all aeroed out.

edit, not sure which bike he used,
link shows different bike than OP's link.
http://www.pinkbike.com/news/ric-Barone-to-Attempt-to-Break-World-Speed-Record-2013.html

There used to be one speed record for downhill snow speedbiking.
but UCI split it to two category, "prototype" vs "serial"
basically aero vs no aero.

the previous "serial bike" dh record holder

However it works, seems like he would fit in around here!

With ebike I have no doubt Doc would make 300km/h in short order.....

I doubt adding an electric motor is gonna help u go faster down a ski slope..
I do remember there was a Hanebrink snow GPV in the winter x games back in the 90's,
DrBass had something similar in that drag strip video I have seen.
Both wouldn't qualify as a bike under UCI ruling.

Anyways, looks like he didn't break the record,
http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/eric-barone-makes-bike-speed-record-attempt-aged-52-37085/

he was trying to break his own overall "aero" record, but fell short.

BTW, speed skiers are even faster,
record is 156mph
