Newbie alert lol, hi people all over da planet hope yous can point me towards this problem with a friends sons scooter iam TRYING to get it to show battery level as it just shows red outline so I opened all up and have taken all 9 connections out 9 pin plug arrrrg I should have took pic of plug but anyway they all mixed and iv tested wot i can but when I tested for continuity on the 3 power cables red, blue, orange they have continuity so I'm puzzled why is these wires fried and touching each other or are they meant to have continuity between them?I have started to seperate big plug into their own so ignore plugs they wrong I just need to match back. Have look at pics please peeps and any help really appreciated I think I'm just missing something on lcd as when iv looked at others there is always extra plugs hanging out back??? Thanks marco

Was the scooter ever working? If so, what happened to it just before the problem started?

What does your voltmeter show that voltage actually is, for the battery being used on the scooter?

If it's less than whatever the unit has for an LVC (41v on the label in your last image), that would by why it's showing empty (red outline).

Which specific wires are you referring to as "fried"? I don't see melting or burn damage on any wires in any of the images. If there is any, perhaps you could circle it in the image and post it.

I don't see any blue power cable, just red and black for the thick main battery wires. I see a blue wire inside what appears to be a throttle/switch unit behind the display in the third image, and a different thicker blue wire coming from the control-input/output end of the controller board, and a short section of another different blue wire on one of the white connectors, and a blue phase wire on the motor connector. Which of these are you referring to?

There are several red wires as well. Which one are you referring to?

The only wire I would call orange is coming from the battery end of hte controller board, and is probably the KSI (keyswitch/ignition) wire, which if true gets connected to the main battery + wire to turn the controller on.

Sorry when I test the red blue and orange either to throttle or lcd they all got continuity I'm just confused and now iv pulled plug off because I was trying to find the 3 throttle wires from inside throttle on transistor (not sure if it called that) I used needles on multimeter and got continuity to them and never worked so confused again,I was thinking wires could of fried somehow and that's why it's not displaying battery, battery is good, iv just messed up wires really and dont know if I have shorted brake correct now,I dont wanna mess it up and scooter has been getting used with no battery level for a while but he sent go too far because he obviously cant see battery level,

Sometimes people will see if you answer the questions necessary to solve the issue, and if you just ignore them, they elect to put in that same effort to help, which is none.

I would guess that half or more of the regularly contributing members of this forum could resolve your issue if they had the scooter in front of them. Unfortunately they don’t, and need to rely on you for information to troubleshoot. You were lucky enough to have amberwolf respond to you, since, if you look at the member statistics, he is at, or near the top of the list of members diagnosing and resolving issues. He doesn’t ask random questions, only ones he needs answered to suit his method of troubleshooting. Yet, despite that good fortune, you’re where you are now. Maybe if you spend some effort addressing each of his questions, he’ll return to be able to help you.

Ok I got it thanks alot

I'm back after some time need to get his scooter connected now iv wrote down some info and tried marking wot I can now, this scooter was working just never had any battery level and some1 chopped wires to seperate them which is easier when wanting to add or wotever, so i tested for continuity inside wiring harness 1T5 and I got continuity with RED ORANGE BLUE so this confused me making me think something has burnt them out and maybe this is why no battery level? I'm no genius with these iv connected a few up but I'm scared to blow something and make it worse, I put switch on it's own to turn on controller and the reading are all correct I just dont know which colour on throttle is signal,5v and ground I have an idea maybe grey white and yellow but not too sure so I was hoping someone could hook me up with this info please amberwolf lol help a new forum member and to be fair got few things to go on here soon to hopefully get some info about, any help muchly appreciated people xx
