2 Wheel Drive electric bike prototype

Hi, at the moment we have not tested yet
I'll let you know in some days
Now we are working on sw that divides torque on 2 wheels

No riding with 2 wheel power in your post on Mar 2nd?

What you need is anti spin/slip control. You should get with MWKeefer who got his working well enough for riding on ice and snow.

Hi
Until we go with 1 motor because the front one was not ready
Last week we mount it.

If you have some fw for Arduino for 2wd (I remember I read your post about it) please let me know how we can manage for it, I'm curious to test it
Thanks

Wow this is an increadble build my friend! I have never seen anything like this before. I understand that this is a prototype but the austhetics of the batteries is a little crazy maybe you could find a way to incorporate that more as an integral part of the frame.

Hi
It is not clear for me if you say that is a good job or it is to improve...thanks btw
What iam saying is to make the bike look better you need to incorporate the batteries more into the frame, so that there mass is lower and ceterlized for handling and visual appeal.
Also consider sculpting a fairings to add to protection and aerodynamics.

I am excited to see thus build progress.

Cheers :D

here is the concept bike tidied up for production..

Now ratio are 7.5 rear, 10.5 front
disc brake is not fixed directly on wheel but before redutction
but we tested and we did burn out with front wheel, to much ratio I think...

Hi
prototype is not finished yet, and it is not the ultimate version
in fact on this prototype we are doing experiments on 2wd, the new one will have better layout to go
outroad.
If you want to test it when will be finish you will be welcome on Italy
or we can send to you a sample...we can discuss about this.

How does the bike handle with so much weight high up and not cental ? Does it not try and push the front in corners ?

While I love the concept of 2WD bikes / motorcycles (I built one of the first 2WD ebikes about 8 years ago) and own/ride a Rokon 2WD gas motorcycle now, the reality of them has not quite equaled what my imagination imagined.

And yeah, I'd love to have a Cristini, if someone else would write the check.

I wish you good luck with your project.

Hi

Nice!
How does the fork geometry and wheel base length feels?

The front is really cool and precise  . The rear mono needs further improvements. Short wheel base length makes it nicely reactive and easy to change direction. My dogs love it (I cannot say the same concerning their relationship with my 749..)!!

Dear all
I ask you wich kind of test could be usefull to do with this prototype
or if someone would to test...impressions and suggestions will be appreciated
thanks!

Set up a dirt course on the area in your video. Then after some practice, give it your best and time a few laps with 2wd, and the same with rear drive only. Be sure to break those wheels loose on turns. Let us know which is faster, along with your impressions. ie Is 2wd better, especially once the wheels break loose in poor traction conditions? Is there anything in terms of handling or stability for which 2wd seems to be a detriment?

Personally, I'm sold on 2wd despite not having tried it yet, but the majority seem to think it is some kind of detriment other than the additional unsprung weight in front.

it looks like it wants to turn left by itself
There is bigger problem actually.
This is why I can go only about 50kmh on my BMX, up to 70 kmh on my MTB and any speed (tested up to 150kmh) on my moped. All about steering angle. :)

My MTB already had steep fork (so 70km OK), but with 20" rear bicycle tyre, dropping the back 3" lower, it CAN go much faster. My ass slides off the seat :)

PS Over 60kmh is ridiculous on any bicycle, so I have CAV3 stop me happy throttle wrist.
