I’m looking to buy the Michael Blast Cafe Racer. It has a Bafang 36v 350w hub w a 11a batt (I can upgrade to 14a). I’d love 500w (350 is too damn slow on take off as well as top speed of 19.6mph)

Can I just swap hubs and what will be the difference in speed and run time. Any Ir there issues I need to worry about. Seems plug and play as they are both 36v

you mean 11 Amp-Hour not 11 Amps

That 350W is probably the same as the 500W, just them China guys marketing to people scared of the fuzz.

Just buy a higher discharge controller rated for 36V and say 15A, rather then your current 10A controller.

A motor with bigger magnets in it, meaning the motor itself weighs more in the specs usually, ( more copper wire too) will pull harder, and use the 350w to take off more efficiently. This will shorten time to speed. But unless you change controller wattage, it will still have the same power the old motor had.

motor ratings are not the power they give, its the power than can handle for an infinite time.

The power rating of your controller in amps times the actual real world voltage of the battery as it is used gives you the power of the system in watts.

To get more watts, increase controller amps, or battery voltage, ideally both. 8) Increasing volts is the thing to do to get about 4 mph more speed. go to 48v.

Regardless of legal issues, most are happy enough with about 1000w, which is 20 amps of 48v. Your current motor can easily handle 750w, so with your current battery and motor, you can go to a 20 amps controller no problems.

ja use 48V 25A kontroller for bafand 36V 350W motor and is runing good but the hight speed is slovly. The system need maybe 52V battery , more volts more speed.
