I would go with JohninCR mid drive motor and samagaga differential. They have special disc brake drive hubs, extendable cv joints and shafts and differential. You could fit the cassette and have some gears as well. Differential could be fixed to red frame with some custom brackets made and welded.
Less expensive, less parts.
