I am thinking of running a BMC V2t hub and wondering what differences in performance I will see at these two voltages?

Thanks

Or even no difference, if you are talking nominal voltages. One nominal might be rediculously low, like lipo. So most of your run with 44v lipo would be at a lot higher voltage.

In general, I typically see about 4 mph difference between 36v and 48v for instance. So 1 mph = 3v is a usable rule of thumb for the (actual, not nominal) 30v-60v range. Above that, things change because of faster speeds and wind resistance.

If you use a high amp-draw hub like a 9C, you have to have at least a 15aH sized battery to keep voltage sag on accelleration down to a minimum. So, if you don't want the size or expense of a 15-20 aH pack of LiFePO4, go for the LiPo.

LiPo will give you very little voltage sag, so your acceleration will be better, but as stated abbove, your top-speed will be 1-2 MPH lower.
