Should i go with a 48v w/ 50a bms or 52v w/ 30a bms. UPP sent me 2 batteries on accident so i have a choice to make because they are making a shipping label so i can return one next week. Ebikeling 1200w rear hub kit w/ 30a controller. I plan to upgrade to a tft 750c display by end of May to get more out of the kit because the s830lcd that came with the kit refuses to use 30a. Both batteries are 20ah
Thank you in advanced :bigthumb:

Get the battery that matches whatever battery charger you have. If you dont have a charger, then I'd look into the makeup of each battery, the 18650 cells being used, looks like one battery would be a 10A discharge cell, vs a 20A discharge cell. So working the battery less, lengthens the life span of the battery.

Oh dont forget the controller, you mentioned 30A, so either battery is fine. I bet the 30A pack is PF cells and the 50A pack is 25R cells. Both being 20Ah you say, well that math dont add up. I give example, I give up on post.

Try to figure out which one has the best cells. If they are better in the 50 amp bms pack, choose that one. If the same, I'd always like more voltage, for higher speeds at the end of the ride, when voltage gets so low.
