5000mAh 3.7V 18650 cells

lol, most of those larger ah cells are terrible for discharge..such as 1c

Sorry guys but the existance of a rechargeable 18650 cells of 5000mAh in 2013 is a pure bulshit

The only lithjium cells that can have that capacity are NOT rechargeable and have terrible low C rate and are used for very low current purpose.

At the moment the availlable max cap 18650 cells are the 3.9Ah

Dont loose your time and money.

The same seller has these nice ultrafire "5000mAh" cells too. :) They say, "Good 18650" on the side now. lol

We know they "4000mAh" cells cycle about 1.5-1.9Ah new, and quickly drop off from there.

I wonder if the "5000mAh" printed shrink wrapped b-stock rejects or cells ripped out of defective laptop packs and shrink-wrapped do. :)

Here is another gem of a "5000mAh" 18650. This one cycles 1.1Ah under a very light load.

Shrink wrap can not prevent turning brown where the laser marker hits it.

There is no such thing as a 5000mAhr 18650 cell .

At least that isn't a primary cell or a <10cycle Si based anode cell or only sketchily-rechargeable a few times metallic lithium anode cell.

Fortunately, it's inevitable that they will be real inside the next year or two. :)

Good to get 1.9AH on 4AH UF, i cycled few of my friends to return 700-800mAH :D He did not believed that my 2.8AH LG's will be better, but he gets cells of me now :) All this big number writing is so tempting for people without knowledge

5Ah 18650 batts & +22-24% efficient solar cells on the open market, sweeeeeet!

I've got some old 18650's out of laptop packs about 5 years old. I might shrink wrap them, write "Most Excellent 5500" on them and sell them on ebay. I'm sure they still be better quality/capacity that the 5000's....

:D Just make sure you offer an ES member discount in that sale, then warn them off when PM'ed by an ES member.

Glad you others said it before I could. What a scam. Might do 5000 mha for a few charges if discharged at .05 c is my guess.

Naw, most of these scams that say huge numbers won't do even 1/3rd of what they claim on the first cycle under any rate of discharge.

You guys know cells like ultrafire and the hundred spin-off idea copycats don't even have battery factories. They have an 18650 heatshrinking machine, and load it up with ANYTHING that fits in the slot to get shrink-wrapped with whatever creative label they feel like typing into the laser marker. In the same order from a guy like this you may have cells with little covers over the terminals to hide the tab-weld marks from being ripped out of an old laptop pack, along with some random B-stocks from some place that does do production, but is sketchy enough to let it's B-stock get sold out the back door, along with a few cells that just arrive at 0v.

Exactly. Makes you want to get a shrink wrap printer, and start selling your old cells from the tv remote.

Was it Barnum or WC Fields that said it first, "Sucker born every minute."
