I have 30 used cells from an electric scooter battery. They are 2.6Ah LG cells, different cells have different capacities ranging from 45% to 85% capacity in Ah. What would be the % at which I should discard the batteries?
I have been looking at power bank boxes for 18650 cells. There are boxes of many sizes, the largest boxes are 10,12,18,21,26 and 36 cells.
What do you think about using a larger power bank with 18, 21 or 26 cells? Too big or heavy to be portable? Too big to take advantage of the power bank's capacity in several days?
I think that a power bank with 6 or 8 18650 cells would be ideal to be portable, due to its capacity (Wh) and weight, to charge a smartphone with a 5000mah battery, to make a full charge or a little more per day.
Power bank there are several models with different outputs, with 5V 2A (10w) output, with 18-20W fast charging and with 15w wireless charging. Should I choose 20W fast charging?
The smartphone battery gets a little hot when using the 18W fast charge, the battery does not get hot when using the 5V 1.5A or 2A charge, but the charge is slower.
Now I have a 20000Mah power bank from Xiaomi, 18W, it gives me to charge the smartphone for almost a week. I don't need this power bank case, this project is about taking advantage of the cells. Would it be better to save the cells to make another battery and not buy the powe bank case?
