Can the 500C display be used to adjust settings when used with a 72v nominal battery?

It seems that the 500C can't display volts over 60v, but if I only want to control the motor functions will the 500C work with a high voltage battery?

I think it’s more of a function of the controller the display is attached to. Miss matching voltages COULD be damaging to the controller or display or both. Although a display may not have a voltage range or rating it could be assumed that it would work only with the included or suggested controllers voltage. Maybe try to add Bluetooth to the controller but you’d need a controller that has its own app to make your changes. Another maybe.

The setup I'm looking at has a 72v compatible controller (BAC 855), but the retailer advises that the 750C display is required for 72v.

I'm not sure if this is just due to the battery voltage display only going up to 60v on the 500C, or if the 500C will not actually function when connected to a 72v battery?

I’d try to power it up with the controller and motor and see what happens. If you can determine the power in to the display maybe put in a low amp fuse. Trying is the steps to knowing for sure. I once tried to extend my spot welder with jumper cables, big fail. Now I know.

I'm trying to plan the build with compatible parts so the parts aren't on hand yet :|
