500W handheld LED

Indeed! I love bright lights, too! 500w LEDs are here?
It has been a great story of their development.

Not yet as good a throw or color as overvolted halogen,
the same can be said of (get this) CARBON ARC

My next bike headlight (not) Full spectrum! I made this video. Solid state, no delicate filament or HID color twinge or...freedom from skin cancer and burned retinas!

Enjoy. It's Canadian...a PLUS because it did not come from Canadian Tire, eh?

as far as I know, the first motion pictures of a naked carbon arc flame! about 1,000w

and here is the relic. it is a "heliotherapy lamp", once popular. note its simple operation.
movie theaters were all equiped with arcs of many times the power.
Full spectrum: Technicolor never looked better than in 1940.

I use Justin's little 12 LED flood plus a hand-held lightweight for waggling around.
But yeah, a carbon arc bike light...I dream silly.

yeah, a bunch of real crazy nut jobs over at candlepowerforums...

even crazy than endlesssphere

curiously, tonight i did a quick ride to test my AAPLD Advanced Anti-Puthole Laser Detector ( it gaved great results)

But ... the most surprizing was something i could never had belived it could happen tonight!

I ran my ebike a main boulevard using my 70W ultrawhite LED (4x15W +2x 5W) and i've been arrested by the police!..

You know why? .. The officer explained me that when they saw me approaching to them at around 2-3miles away on the boulevard, they thought it was a kind of small airplane landing on the road because of the type of light they perceived!!

I admit.. i've never examinated what look like my bike approaching to me with all LED blasting... and that the LED i use are not yellow, blue or violet.. but pure white!.. like the hallogen bulb on some cesna 28V light..

They asked me to reduce the intensity or to turn them off when i'm using public road... I had no ticked for that time..

An airplane... lol... ... i'll remember that for long time!!!

Mr officer, sir...., I only have 10800lux at 1m  7150W over the max allowed motor power limit on my bike.. and often go over 70km/h.... nothing more...

Doc, please tell us more. Is this in addition to the 70W LEDs?

I just got 4 x 15W OSRAM led ( the dy have 6 led on the same chip and requier 18V to operate) and i also have 2x 5W led for low beam.

I use the reflectors of thecheap 1W costco flasflight that fit perftct with the 15W format. The beam is si powerfull than i can feel the heat fenerated by the light beam at 1 feet distance! I use a small DCDC booster to convert my 12V aux to 18V 2.4A.
