once developed, the production should not be THAT expensive
let it make in taiwan , order 10 000 of them, put the price down, get the HS scorpion and other trikes out of market
Finished.
Around 50 km/h with 16S A123. The acceleration is crazy. I´m running 2000W now which is well enough. 1500W or even less would still do it.
Two flashing 1300 lumen LEDs in the front and back - and i have always enough space on the road
Battery on top of the rack. The additional weight is good. Before i was able to get the tail in the air with these Magura Big disc brakes in the front.
Controller (silver) under seat.
Video to come...
you should definitely put batteries under the seat for better balance and lower gravity point..
unless you dont care as it is tilting
How well do those Promax calipers work for you? I have a similar-looking one on a cheap Mongoose bike:

and am curious how good it's stopping power will be once it is on one of my heavy cargo bikes.
Hey groundproximity
That is simply awesome! I do agree with Wojtek about the battery location though. I noticed a big difference in handling on my Steini when I got the batteries down low compared to the rear rack mount. You might want to try that out as a test since it looks like you have a fair bit of space just under the seat. Simply gorgeous trike. Got to see the video of the cornering ability.

I wonder if the front discs are also Promax as the rear is usually a parking brake Amberwolf?

Edit: Just reread and apparently the front discs are Magura. They are much higher level quality than Promax, No surprise as th fronts do most of the stopping. I dont even have a rear brake on my trike.
I've noticed that my 9C at about 13 lbs does not give as good a ride as the old 8lb Bafang on the rear. I think a 25 lb X5 would really be too much unsprung weight for a decent ride, even on good roads. JMHO

In the front i have Magura Big. But they have to work hard. 20kg Trike/7kg motor/5 kg battery/plus 80kg me. 112kg @ 50 km/h... they do get warm
The rear is just for parking. Also the brake to stop the tilting movement is a mechanical disc brake.
The space below the seat looks bigger than it is. I have two 16s 2p packs linked by a cable. I tried some positions but for the time being the position on the rack works fine for me. I guess with non tilting it is different of course.
