72 volt cut out???

Im using two ping 36 volt 15 amp/hr packs in series. Also building a 60 volt 20 amp/hr currently on one of my old downhill bikes. Ping will sell the new bms seperately to make older ping packs usable in series more easily. Pretty nice.

is your controller designed to work at 72V? if it is a 36V controller you will need to make some changes. you cannot simply switch packs from 36V to 72V on the controller. it is a waste of a perfectly good controller and can leave you stranded when it blows up.

is the controller also designed to operate at the 36V level too?

the 72V controller upgrade i did had to use a 53V LVC and anything below would deactivate the controller. to protect the controller from low voltage at the input.
