So far this is all I can find.

Adaptto, Kelly, and Sabvoton are the three best best places to start looking for big power.

Lyens Xie-Chang controller (Also wrongly nick-named Infineon) Trapazoidal Waveform, Programmable.

Sevcon - Very hard to program. $1000 edit: Looks like its a varied experience to program.

Sabvoton

Greentime

Powervelocity.com

Adaptto $500 - $750 lots of extras available (BMS, Charging Coil) master/slave configuration available. $650-$950(CAD).

Kelly controllers are programmable! They have Sine wave controllers too.

weight and form factor are an issue. Link

Kelly has FOC KLS-S
and the controller (being the smallest of the whole series) is BIG as well
the wire looks like a #8-10awg. well done kelly! con: they are very stiff and not fine stranded, so hard to bend. but that is only an issue during install.
so it seems you really HAVE to buy this z-tek usb/serial converter.
<----This statement makes me sold on a Kelly.

new kellys KLS CAN do variable regen

Can I Reprogram the Controller Settings?
Unfortunately not, for reasons outside of our control these boards are not available to us in a way that is compatible with parameter designer software to change the settings. However, all the regular settings (low voltage cutoff, current limit, throttle auto-cruise and ramping etc) and much more can easily be done via the Cycle Analyst.

Looks like their FOC unit is programmable.

This is definitely not a controller build intended for multi kW power levels, but for for stuff in the 1kW range it is quite well suited.
