Probably not because I am a cheap old SOB and the absolutely coolest thing about my e-bike is it is cheap to operate.

P.S.
Strong is not the word I would use to describe the S3. Adequate might be more appropriate.

Hehe I hear you load and clear. I got a backup phone with twin sim I use for heavy duty situations where I would normally leave phone home/stay in car, like kayaking or fishing. Its is an old HTC blackstone with custom ROM I would say 8 years old, with a "new" battery probably 3-4 years old. I used that phone as a daily driver for 4-5 years. And still I use that phone when camping etc as is really has long battery time that old screen is gentle.

That being said, I would like to take advantage of the CPU/GPU and all sensors on my regular phone. As it is really just not being put to good use these days. More and more services are moved to the cloud and cpu usage for such applications is not "noticeable" locally. And video or games on a phone is not my cup of tea - if I can choose a different source for viewing/gaming.

Putting todays smart phones to use in an e-bike setting, getting all kinds of cool apps and info displayed would be really awesome in my book.
You could check your 0-60 mph, 0-60-0 mph, and what not. And if tweaking controller via BT you could instantly see if you changing the settings make in impact on acceleration. Neato 8)

I'm betting on some ebikers getting older. hehe

Recently lost any sense of balance so went trike.

Trike rolled over (and I broke my wrist) so went recumbent trike. Not as far to fall to the ground, and comes with handy-dandy back rest and Big Comfy Seat.

Actually watching a large upsurge in use recumbent bikes, and especially trikes.

So my vote for "advanced eBike Feature"? A tall plastic pole, 5-6 feet tall and skinny, to support a light and a flag or flags or streamers that fly sorta straight back. It's a Visibility Thing.

Tks

(EDIT: PS. Oh yeah. And more drink holders. [urp] And a windscreen, with some at least partial cover a la velomobile. More aero plus can shed rain and snow and splashes.)

Having ridden motorcycles for over 40 years. I set up my e-bike as I would have my motorcycle. Two sets of head lights ( no high beams), tail lights, turn signals, brake light, and speedo. That's about it. I currently run a separate 3 cell Lipo Io run the lighting system and it lead to too many wires. I just received a 48v to 12v power transformer they use in golf carts which allow me to clean up a lot of the excess wires.

Any of the ones I'm using on my SB Cruiser or CrazyBike2, or that I used on the Fusin Test Bike or Delta Tripper.

I built the current SB Cruiser dual taillights out of 3 sections (each) of aquarium LED strips inside Honda MC tail/brake light housings, replacing the incandescent automotive bulbs (that were not nearly as bright). Am about to add 2 more separate sections to each one as additional brake lights when there's time (cuz you can almost never have too many lights ).

Don't really remember what advanced features you run on your SBC, CBII, FTB or DT.
A bullet list would go a long way mr wolf.

Care to refresh my memory of what features you run?

I have a Sirius sat radio docking station in my shop, home, crane ( in both the operator cab and the truck cab), and most importantly in the airplane. But not on the bike, anyone have Sirius on your ride? The only drawback or difficulty I could see would just be more "stuff", cables etc. I flew the last 2 weeks with no airspeed indicator, it was in the shop, no problem. If my sat radio went out I'd have to ground myself. Not talking town riding BTW, but trail riding.

My reply was to the question of lights, in the post immediately before my reply. ;)

But as a reminder (with a bit of additional detail) for those that didnt' read the read of that post, I'm using mostly LED lighting, some of it commercial motorcycle stuff, some of it LEDs from aquariums (cuz they're waterproof, or really water resistant) used to replace the incandescents in other commercial motorcycle lighting. (some I didn't replace yet, and still have the incandescents in there. Still using car headlights, as none of the other solutions so far tried either have the right beam pattern or enough brightness, one or the other (or both).
